I'm relieved to learn that however cluttered my home is, I am pretty good at packing for going away, and already do all these things. I have a Travel List that I have been using for decades, updated from time to time, that includes all the essentials: medication, underwear etc. As I'm retired, I don't have to worry about looking smart, so my priorities are wellness and comfort.

Use the disposable shower caps in hotel room amenities as shoe covers so you can split them up in the suitcase and jam in a corner. Team carry on with packing cubes.

I decide if i am going with black or blue for coat, sweater, gloves, skirt, shoes, etc. Then everything coordinates.

I am team carry-on and will wear the same thing everyday. My husband is team checking a bag. I do not like waiting for luggage and laugh at people that pack their entire closet. I do make a list and then trim it down and check the weather to dress appropriately.

LOL! I wear about 2 changes of clothes a week, so why am I sweating about making 27 combinations! At my age (73) I have a need for more "support items" rather than clothes!!!
