Decluttering my closet 2022 - Wardrobe Clean Out 

can you share more tips in creating different outfits with the same items? cuz i’d definitely love to try decluttering my closet and changing my fashion habits. btw, this video is as calming and thoughtful as always:) thank you xx i hope you’re doing well!

Just found your video, so pretty and relaxing! At the moment i have a seasonal capsule, i tried in the past to have all my clothes out during a whole year (after reading Kondo's book), but i found it overwhelming and it made me bored to look at the same clothes over and over again. Also it didn't feel right to have sweaters out during summer as i live in Italy and our summers are hellish lol. I'm finding this solution the best for me also because i love a lot of colors, but i still want a coherent color palette, that's why now i have three base colors, for hot weather and cool weather, but every three months i change my accent colors. Choosing obvsly from what i already have and trying not to buy anythin new. This keeps it fun for me :D

Hey Victoria! I love this healthier relationship you have with minimalism now. I don't declutter by getting rid of items either, I just put it away in a box and only let go of super worn out pieces !

I like to separate pieces that are very specific for certain season, for example my autumn wardrobe is full of warm colours that I don't tend to wear in spring/summer. But, you gave me a genius idea to put those pieces in a nice box. That way I will forget how they look, and once I open a box again it will be like I did shopping 😀

Where is the tan purse from? I’ve been looking for a simple purse to use on a day to day basis and that one looks perfect ! :)

I tend to go through my wardrobe at least 2-3 times a year. My wardrobe is probably medium-sized (possibly large) to anyone keeping a capsule but I keep everything out for 4-seasons. I have a combination of various colors and some neutrals (mostly in pants, skirts, and cardigans) so I can jump around when I'm bored of specific colors. Where I "shop my closet" this year is a bin of clothes I used to fit into as I'm currently on a weight loss journey. Keeping clothes that don't fit is usually advised against when de-cluttering, but it's so motivating for me since I only kept a handful of my absolute favorite pieces. Thank you for another enjoyable video. It's always interesting to see how other people are creative with their wardrobe.

I have a seasonal capsule wardrobe :) that means I change it from (Summer and Spring) to (winter and autumn) I have some pieces that I have in the wardrobe all year and some that I rotate depending on the season ! :)

Hi Victoria, thank you for your lovely video! I remember being child and having that big joy when my mother was doing my wardrobe change! To decover again those pieces was so exciting and trying on and taking away the not fitting ones was so sad to me! Why now we feel like a sense of pleasure clearing out the pieces we need to declutter instead?!! I think we need to go back to make great memories with our outfits to enjoy wearing them on repeat! I put away clothes every season so I can shop in my wardrobe in every season! If I see all my clothes all the time I feel bored about that and I use a smaller part of that. If I have a small part of my clothes in every season I use all of that and changing it make me feel every time like in a new beginning. I like to change like the nature but I don't like to do shopping 😂 I don't need a capsule wardrobe because I don't have mix and match rules, just follow my feelings. Your video are always so inspiring.

Its been nearly 5 years i have not bought any new piece of clothing. I wear what i own. I do know how to sew so that helps alot

I tidy my closet every time it gets too messy (for my liking), which turns out be roughly 2-3 times a year. And end up getting rid of things I notice I don’t wear every time ( sometimes fewer pieces, sometimes more). But seing as I’m going to be moving in two weeks, a big closet clear out is waiting 😅

Hello, first time viewer. Relaxing content. Yes- I do do a closet declutter / switch out for the seasons. I watch Use_less a lot and have gotten a lot of inspiration from her. Like you and her I do put clothes away for each season and put clothes away that I may want in the future but not now. I would recommend her channel if you don’t watch it already. You both have similar content of what I can see so far. 🥰

That's exactly what I do. Shopping my closet. I do a little bit of a capsule wardrobe from the pieces I own and then I use it for a while before I change it up and exchange those pieces from my main wardrobe and create a new capsule this way. I declutter my closet when I start to see a few items in there that I stop wanting to gravitate towards for a few of my capsule wardrobes and do not have the desire to reach for if its a seasonnal piece.

Yea I spring clean and I do it every couple months a year and I’m now slowly easing into a capsule wardrobe:) and i feel so much lighter and my mind is clearer when I open my wardrobe :)

Great video - it has been wonderful watching your journey of self growth the past few years. I am also learning to be less regimented in my approach towards minimalism and life more generally. I have discovered that the happiest people are generally the most relaxed!

I have a capsule wardrobe, I get bored very easily so it's not about numbers for me but just the fact that I have neutral basics, jackets, cardigans, blazers and coats with exception of a light blue trench and bright red coat. I have a small amount of colourful tops , dresses and jumpers and my bottoms are all denim, black or navy blue so all my colourful items match with my neutral bottoms. I get very bored so if I'm wearing a white tshirt with denim jeans, I would have to accessorize with scarves,jewellery and handbags. That's just me I'm a colourful person and I get bored easily so having enough choice is important to me.

We have so much the same approach to minimalism... and almost the same style. I actually created a basic wardrobe plus added (still classic but extravagant) items I love... I upgraded over the yrs - exchanging things for better ones. I'm actually done and now only replace if something is definitely worn out. So - no spring cleaning anymore 🙂

I tried a capsule wardrobe and I didn’t like it at all - I missed my other clothes! Twice a year I swap out my clothes by season. I’m about to put away my autumn and winter clothes, and get out my spring and summer clothes instead. That works best for me.

I have a 4 season wardrobe in my closet at the moment, as we truly have 4 seasons sometimess 2 or 3 in one day in Melbourne. I have my stuff seperated into a wardrobe and dresser and I'm currently tracking my clothes to see what I wear.

When I'm getting dressed if something doesn't fit me (I'm currently losing weight for health) it gets donated and if it's is too old/ worn it goes to trash. I live in Porto and we don't have 4 seasons: we have a hot summer, and mild spring and autumn that used to be rainy (not anymore). Winter here is like a slightly colder autumn so i don't have big coats or boots because it doesn't snow; so all my clothes are together because I just layer them. I kind have a capsule wardrobe only because I end up picking the same colors (blues, pinks and blacks) and styles 😅 but honestly I get uninspired because it's like I'm wearing the same thing everyday...

I usually de clutter my wardrobe to get rid of the items that are literally extra, or i have no purpose for wearing them. I start de cluttering whenever my wardrobe gets messy 😂, while tidying the items, i pick the ones that are old, unfitting, or their quality are bad. thanks for your meaningful content, every time you post a video, i listen to your narration word by word. 💐💐💐
