Hi everyone! Today is day 3 of my declutter week! Today we're tackling blush and highlighter. I planned to include bronzer in this video too, but I'm having issues with my bronzer footage so stay tuned for that! When it comes to blushes and highlighters, I never trust swatches. I have had so many that I have kept bc they look so gorgeous swatched, but when I use them with a full face of makeup, I just don’t like them.

The Illuminator drops added to wet n wild tinted moisturizer (or really any skin tint) gives you the same effect as the charlotte tilbury flawless filter 😊

With the CT light wand, you can rip off the sponge tip and there’s just a squeezy tube opening underneath

Go Blair! I’m excited for you to be sifting through everything because I know it’s gonna make you feel amazing reaching into your collection when your decluttering is done (well, it is probably already done now!). It’s so great having awesome products to choose from and not having excess visual clutter to work around. I mean, if you’re not reaching for it, why let it keep space in your home and brain. I have had a hard time finding the right shade/formula of highlighter, and am down now to just the benefit cookie (I just got for the first time a few weeks and it’s just stunning!) and the Chanel stick highlighter (don’t remember what it’s called, but it’s really similar to the merit, just a little lees sparkly). But I probably have about 20 blushes…there are just so many nuances with shade and formula, I love being able to elevate the cheek with whatever matches the look, so yeah…you did a good job narrowing down your duplicates of color/formula! I don’t think you’ll find yourself missing any of the items you declutter. ❤️

The Dallas blush swatches super light, but it does show up more on the face

I had the older formula/color of Dallas years ago. It was a beautiful rosy bronze color. I used it until there was hardly anything left in the component. I had read reviews that said the color has changed…the Dallas you swatched looked completely different from the color I remember.

I'm glad it's not just me! I was thinking something about the color doesn't look like what people describe. The box even says 'rosy bronze,' but it's neither of those things.

I totally understand what you mean by loving to look at and buy highlighters. I don't even know the last day I wore makeup but I have a gazillion highlighters... and a bagillion lip products 😂

I’ve been watching some videos by Bekah Sun and she focuses a lot on Indie brands. I’ve purchased a blush from MOB Beauty and a lip stain/gloss from MAKE Beauty after watching her videos. It’s another fairly affordable class of beauty products to explore for me.

@@simplyblair oh yes for sure try phytosurgence. They have cream eyeshadows, cream blushes and a highlighter. They just got 4 new blushes in their " toasted" colors but they are currently sold out.

I just bought that MOB Beauty blush you showed. I love it. If I’m going to get a blue toned pink I think I’ll start with the Flower Beauty to make sure it’s giving me the effect I’m hoping for. That being said I’d love to know which one of those type blushes you prefer.

@@simplyblair another great brand I discovered is Clove * Hallow. They make a beautiful sheer bronzer similar to the Danessa Myricks product that is right up your alley: reddish tone, more sheer and glowy.

I watched several of your de clutter series. it would have been very helpful if your swatches would have been larger so the color and texture of the products could have been seen. You would just put a tiny drop of product with NO close up on the individual swatch. Then after a couple of swatches all the different products blended into or ran together with other products. You also did not explain the qualities of each product or what you did or did not like about each. Saying, “I love it” or “I do not reach for this very often” does not tell the viewer anything about the product. The videos were not descriptive about the product and were useless information to me overall. I want to know information about the products, not just wether you liked them or not.

I’m sorry they weren’t helpful, but I can’t possibly give a review of every product I own with the amount of makeup I have considering I went through every single product. These videos took days to film and edit and were already extremely long so I did the best I could. Also, if you found the videos useless then why continue to watch and comment? There are thousands of declutter videos on RU-vid to watch if you don’t enjoy mine. Leaving a hateful comment like this is also “useless” as you like to say. In the future, if you don’t have anything nice to say how about just don’t say anything at all and move along 👍🏻
