A deconstruction of the first rooftop take of Don't Let Me Down for the rooftop concert's 55th anniversary. This take was almost perfect but famously John forgot the lyrics during the second verse creating an iconic moment.
Stems were extracted using Ai separation software along with the Atmos Rooftop Concert and Let It Be film mix.

6:18 as a bassist this is one of my favourite songs to play and that’s one of my favourite parts of the bass line

Billy's rhodes piano part is so soulful, did this song justice man. His musical contribution made the Beatles sounds like a different band on the last two album, and this iconic rooftop live session. Love his work man

The most fun, interesting thing to me is what an incredibly good band they were. All of them were working their asses off, but so tastefully. Whatever worked best for the whole, they would play. Otherwise, they weren’t playing. Also, I never realized John’s guitar needed a little tuning before. It sounds great in the mix, but it’s a cool reminder that these guys are human. ✌🏼and ❤!

@Lukronius I heard some time ago 🎉that John would tune his D string a little sharp so he would know it was him playing in the song as a possible reason for the guitar sounding sharp. I will try to find it on RU-vid. Otherwise take it or leave it as reason for sounding off.

My favorite thing about this is that around 8:10 you can hear Paul with “ooooh but it has no past,” which is hard to hear without the isolation.

The more I listen to Ringo's isolated drums the more I appreciate his playing. Still today I can't figure why so much people talk bad about his playing

The Beatles worked together when 1 or more wrote a song together. They played and sang by feel for the song. That's what made them sound so great. They were pioneers in so many ways also. God gave them so much talent...
