Scott I have the 5 and I have a seiko prospex the seiko is fantastic but the, movement on the deep blue in the 5 is better. The seiko was about 450 bucks when I got it. The deep blue was 295.00. The bezel on the 5 is ceramic so it’s lighter than the seiko. I got the purple 5
@@TheKOreport what I failed to mention about the 5 is that the movement in that watch are used in watches that cost 2000 dollars. For a watch so inexpensive I surprised they did use like the seiko N35 which I have in my Spinnaker watch which is very nice as well. You might want to check them out.
To be honest, it’s high in my rotation. I travel m-th. With my job and it’s always one of the 3-4 I carry with me each week. I have had no issues with it so far. I do see several for sale on watch trading sites and many of them seem to be priced reasonably but take some time to move. So you may not be alone in what you’re hearing.
It’s funny but the watches that are hated on so much are actually really good. If you look at Dan Henry, Spinnacker, Orient, Marathon, all of these are actually really good. I have all except the marathon and the Orient if one of the first but good. Now even serious collectors like the diver they make.
