I think the piece you were referring to is called an Impellor; similar item used in aquarium hang on back filters. It is important to clean hem frequently.

The same pump is also used on water fountains and pet drinking fountains. Excellent video! The part names that you were wanting to know @2:23 impeller, @ 2:27 impeller shaft, @ 2:33 impeller cover, @2:38 front pump cover with flow control, @2:44 rear pump cover. Trying to find out why my garden makes a very loud shrill sound when I plug it in. The light does come on but the sound doesn't stop. I tried the power cord from my other working garden and it has the same sound. Has this ever happened for anyone?? And thank you for your video I was able to successfully clean my working one.
