Detach all parts of Aerogarden Bounty, thorough wash all parts individually, and then attach them back.
NOTE: Please note that the water pipe between pump and the grow deck should be other way. The wide open end should be connected to the grow deck.

Thanks for making this video! I took my aerogarden apart piece by piece about 6 months and didn't put it back together and replant until just now. This helped me figure out how to put it all together again. 💪🌱🌿

INCREDIBLY HELPFUL !! I could not figure out how to replace the float in the bowl (not knowing what it was when I started) .. this video answered it. Aerogarden "chat" was not much help... they sent me some pictures that did not show what I needed to see. They should provide a detailed parts diagram... but they don't. NO beef with the company though... I lost my tank cover after a couple years and they sent me an entire new hardware kit for free... showed up 2 days later. All I wanted was the part, I fully intended to have to pay for it but they did not invoice me.

Important to note that you originally put the white tube that attaches to the motor on incorrectly. The circular end, not the widening funnel end should attach to the motor. It looks like you cut away to fix that, it would be important to note that in the video. I almost threw away my Aerogarden because I was so frustrated and unable to put it back together.

Sorry about that. Yes, the water pipe between pump and the grow deck should be other way, and the wide open end should be connected to the grow deck. Either way it works fine. I tested it explicitly and water flows fine either way. Sorry again for this mistake in the video.

I wish Aerogarden made the connections with screws rather than tabs because pushing the tabs is very hard on my joints.

Need to run a bleach/water mix through the tank and system for 5 minutes. Simply rinsing it with tap water does nothing to sanitize the system.

He never said anything about sanitizing. Run vinegar or citric acid instead. Bleach is overkill and a poison.

Yeah, I prefer to avoid bleach. It's a synthetic chemical. No matter how hard we rinse, there will be some leftover. So, I prefer deep cleaning with warm water instead of using bleach.

Nice camera angles, but curious if you have found a simpler way to remove the column from the grow deck? The (3) spoons method is cumbersome.

hmm not any other easy way. However, 2 things to make a note of. 1) As I detached the pump part from deck a few times already, now they became lose and come off easily with gentle pull. I never put the same effort that I put on day 1. They never fall off themselves though. 2) After thorough observation with so many crops in multiple Bounties, I see that it's not at all requried to detach the pump cover from the grow deck. How breakable does this thing seem? I despise plastic tabs. They are engineered to break eventually.

Not really breakable. I have been using a few Bounty models for 4+ years and I keep detaching them every 60-80 days for deep cleaning. Didn't break even a single tab so far.

I like to let the parts sit in water w peroxide for a few minutes when I clean it. The baskets too.

71 days? Aren't you supposed to change water every 2 weeks from everywhere I have read? If I don't use hydrogen peroxide I get stuff growing in the bottom of the bowl within a week

No need to change water every 2 weeks. Aerogarden recommends changing water every 4 weeks to reset the pH imbalance. I change the water every 6-8 weeks. No issues so far.
