This remix would sound amazing in a Johnny Quest episode... not the 60s johnny quest but the 90s johnny quest... the 90s johnny quest had a epic theme... this would totally rock with the stoeyline and characters
This remix is really distinct from others out there, I really love the way it sounds! Player2 and NoteBlock are some of my favorite remixers so this is awesome to see them collaborating!
This actually made me cry the first time I saw it, I don't play of know alot about splatoon but to see a whole culture having fun and celebrating, hearing it in the tune is amazing. Thank you.
Thank you very much for sharing that! I do love the community Splatoon has built, it's very lively & I'm glad I can share feelings through the soundtrack! You're welcome!
1st Another N1CE team up with noteblock 2nd all on board the Splatoon 3 train 🚉 I love Deep Cut trio Shiver frye & big man 💙💛♥️ Keep it the splatastic work coming P2 Catch ya later
So, hey. I listen to a lot of different music and watch a lot of different things so I’m a little flaky on my engagement from all of them. Also I literally got a job, started college, and became an adult in the same month, so I’ve been a little busy. But with the fest starting and the game coming out soon, it’s the perfect time to come back and check out my backlog, starting with this new release! This goes HARD!!!!!! To be honest, while the original song is good, it left a little bit to be desired to me personally. But that isn’t present here. It’s the perfect combination of intense and fun, perfect for a party. Hope to see you out on the turf, whether it’s on the same team or otherwise!
That's so awesome, I'm glad you're making all these changes in your life! Being busy is a good thing, a boring life is just that--boring! But I'm very glad to see you again! Thank you so much, I think you said it perfect: it's the perfect blend of intense & fun! I'll definitely be out on the playing field! 😎
Thank you _very_ much! Very rarely do I implement world-instrumentation in my music; but that's the best part of remixing video game music - we can produce whatever style of music we want! 😉
I saw you of an ad but someone who makes music this fire deserves more than that! Keep it up :D I know you probably won't see this but; YOU ARE SO COOL* *I know you DID see this
Man, this whole video - music and visuals both - just _oozes_ style! Right from the very first measure, it feels like one big dance party, and you guys sure as heck got me up and moving listening to this - no joke! I really like the instrument combinations that are used here, and they have a distinct "street festival" kind of sound to them - a world festival, to be precise. The instrumentation here really creates a sense of being a part of a grand celebration, and that sensation is reflected perfectly in the visuals. The inkling vocals and "hey!" chants really bring a kind of human element to the mix, and makes it feel like a live event! And I really like how certain segments seem to reflect traditional styles of music, like at 0:17 and 0:50, which sound a bit like traditional Asian and Middle-Eastern music, respectively. Then again, I could be totally of the mark, but it really feels like there are multiple ethnic sub-genres within this piece. Oh man, and the bowed string instrument at 2:55 is just gorgeous - I love it! Also, those whistles!! I love when whistles are used in auxiliary percussion, and this remix pulls it off perfectly. :D Speaking of which, the percussive elements here are truly top-tier! Even though the beat is dynamic and ever-changing, the energy never lets up, and I love the variety of rhythms and drum combinations throughout. While listening, it's exciting to hear what new rhythms will emerge throughout, and which new drums will emerge. And you guys really maxed out with the supporting percussion, too, with all kinds of satisfying hand drums, tambourine shakes, claps, and loads of other sounds. I especially love the segment at 1:19 and how richly detailed the percussion is, using the aforementioned whistle as a supporting instrument. It is genuinely mind-blowing that you and NoteBlock could cram so much creative density into a piece just over 3 minutes long. Listening to this, I feel like I've been partying for _hours_ on end, I kid you not. As I mentioned before, the video elements here just work so, so well with the whole listening experience. I've never played any games in the Splatoon series, but through your remix video, I can really get a sense for what these moments are like in the game, and it immerses the listener in that world entirely! I love how the footage of these colorful characters is so dynamic, with constantly shifting camera angles, rotates, zoom-ins... it feels like you're touring everything this city has to offer, and the moments where the characters are hyping up the crowd (like those arm-raises at 0:42 and again at 2:15) correspond perfectly with those huge buildups in the music. Also, I'm loving the visual effects here, like the motion-blurs, screen shifts, TV glitch overlay, and that sick inverse color effect at 2:22 - nice touch! You guys have really created something special here, and this is a party that I never want to end... thankfully the replay button exists! Amazing work, you two! 🌟
If there's ever a remix to get you up & dancing, _this_ easily takes the cake 🕺 it's so darn GROOVY! That was my favorite part about this remix; NoteBlock & I were discussing potential world-instrumentation and somehow we managed to make the _perfect_ blend of multi-enthic genres into one explosive dance party! I'm so used to producing music that's heavily electronic, but it felt fantastic utilizing instruments that felt, for lack of better term, organic! (Even though most of the sounds we used were still VSTs 😅) Glad you picked up on the percussion as well; in fact, the percussion is almost the biggest driving factor in this remix! I'm surprised we were able to keep the mix tame from the vast amount of cowbells & bongo/conga thumps - but it felt so natural to the style of music that it didn't matter! Pretty sure we had at least 10 separate world percussion loops! Splatoon is definitely one of my favorite Nintendo games, being a fan since the initial release in 2015. I highly recommend you try it out sometime! It's an acquired taste, but I got hooked instantly. You're not wrong from the visualization that this truly is how the characters react & appear while you're playing - it's just plain old energetic fun! I'm very excited to hear you enjoyed this remix even from not knowing the foundation of the game! It brings me joy knowing that I could remix or produce something completely arbitrary & still get positive reviews from my music in general. Thank you, as always, for your continous support, Equalyze!! 🙌
Dude, this is absolutely *phenomenal!* You two did an amazing job on this, it's really cool to see how your two styles mixed together with this song. This is _significantly_ better than the original, I might have to turn the music volume down on the 9th and play this instead!
Thank you _very_ much!!! I'm honestly just so humbled that NoteBlock would even consider producing with me on this brand-new anthem, it'll be a remix to remember for years to come! I appreciate your support! 🙌
Same!! Had a lot of fun, brought back lots of good Splatoon memoires & excited to make new ones! I'm really glad you enjoyed the remix, thank you so much! 🙌
Because of certain reasons that are hard to explain, I couldn’t listen to the whole song, but from what I did hear it was SO GOOD! NoteBlock x Player2 is one of my favorite collaborations of all time, it always sounds good!!
Thank you sire!! I loved the use of world-instrumentation in this remix; it makes you appreciate the organic elements of a track a lot more when 90% of music I've worked on is electronic!
I’ve been getting lots of suggestions for Bowser’s Inside Story…may need to remix the entire soundtrack at this point 😅 haha, but yes I’ll take a listen!
