Love your videos and recommendations! As someone who just got back into makeup after a very long hiatus as in years because I have an autoimmune disease called Hashimoto’s which is my body attacking my thyroid, I didn’t feel good about myself or the way I looked for a long time. I was very overweight due to a lack of thyroid hormone and felt like shit, so no makeup. I look to your reviews on products and everything I have purchased that caught my eye from your reviews has not been a disappointment! My favorite influencer by far and I love that you’re so down to earth! You rock Kait!
I know what you mean about the soapy taste. I get that with the ITEM Beauty lip oils, which is so annoying! For me, it's like a weird feeling at the back of my throat with certain scents.

i have the rare beauty liquid lip balms from the stay vulnerable collection and its the best lip gloss hybrid ive ever tried. its so cushiony and i do not smell the fragrance you describe despite having like the most sensitive lips ever. and my lips are suuuuper dry too. practically 70% of the lip glosses ive tried ive had an allergic reaction to. i use the rare beauty liquid lip balms as a lip mask almost. I cant wait to get more shades. nearly mauve looks gorgeous on you btw kait
hi Kait! I am new to your channel. I just watched your recent July favorites before this one, and you mentioned you are planning another lip roundup video. Sounds like either kbeauty exclusively, or lip stains exclusively, or maybe a broader glossy balmy lip genre....? I just wanted to give my little bit of input, which is that THIS WAS FREAKING AWESOME!!! So, I would really love another deep deep dive like this, with the inclusion of those Korean lip tints and stains, more traditional glosses, plus all the new stuff that has come out since this video. There were a handful of newer items that crossed my mind during this video that I would love to see compared. Anyways, this clearly took a lot of effort so THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!

Also divine over a lipliner or to touch up a more matte lipstick when it no longer looks it’s best during the day 🙃 it just melts over the lips and always looks amazing ❤

Kait! Thank you for your hard work putting this together! The way you describe products is unmatched :) I learned about the Fitglow lip serums from your channel, and have been loving them. I studied your swatch video to choose non-shimmery colors, so I was confused when Koi arrived. It doesn't look shimmery when it's on the lips, but it leaves shimmer all over when I remove it. I'm bummed, as I spent a good amount of time trying to discern the non-shimmery shades. Contacted CS, and they were not helpful. Hopefully they will improve their website to describe colors better in the future. Anyway, thanks for your reviews! Have a great weekend :)

Hi Kait! I had a bright red Dior Stellar gloss with glitter and the glitter was gritty and it made my lips feel burny which never happens to me. Just fyi to anyone looking at the glittery shades! Omg I need to try the Fit Glow lip serum! Thank you for this wonderful comprehensive video!! Ooh also picking up the UD balm too, Sephora has a hot pink shade called Extra that isn’t carried at Ulta! 💜💕🤗
So much information. I'd love a rundown (across all categories) of your favorites. Just your top 3 of any kind. I suffer with reactions to lipsticks but can tolerate some lip balms and oils. If there are great ones that give us color, that would be good to know.

This might sound really weird but Lanisoh lanolin nipple cream is a great lip balm! It’s just 100% lanolin. I know a lot of people use it as a lip balm too. Not sticky, incredibly occlusive and kinda reminds me of the agave lip mask, though it’s been years since I’ve used the OG.
I felt the exact same way about the L’Oréal balm in gloss! I was so excited to get my hands on them and bought 3 shades as soon as they were available in my area. I can usually put up with fragrance that I don’t love……but this is horrendous. It tastes like soap!
Weirdly enough I got that soap taste with the L’Oréal balm but not the Rare one. I didn’t really notice a “fragrance” with either balm, just the soapy taste of the L’Oréal one. The L’Oréal balm reviews on the Ulta website seem to be pretty mixed on taste versus no taste. Didn’t see any Rare reviews discussing a taste of the Rare ones. I wonder if it’s a batch issue. I’ve only tried one of each balm so idk.
I strangely *love* the lemon custard smell from the WA lip balm oil--and the color Chou Chou looks great on you! I'm so glad the package FINALLY arrived, too.

Tried a lot from the list but Roen liquid lip balms are the best. Nothing beats them. Nourishing, thin yet stays put and the balm last for a long time is very rare for a balm. These are my standard for any lip balm

Hmmmm I do think woodwinked and luster Pearl are similar! But woodwinked is better - more pigmented, slightly more dimensional (more shine, slightly deeper, etc) and it doesn’t crease. If you want a cream formula then the CT is great but I does slightly crease and fade throughout the day
I couldn’t agree more when it comes to scent. I am extremely sensitive to any scents it makes me want to throw up or instantly gives me headache. I call myself a Lipbalm,Lipgloss & Lip oil enthusiast. You name it and i pretty much tried it all. I love the Loreal one but i cannot stand the floral scent.My favorite is the Laneige Lipbalm but of all the scent the grapefruit is the one i cannot stand as well. I thoroughly enjoyed this video. Pretty much agree to everything you mentioned.

I agree with the Uzu lip treatment I luckily bought them before they stopped having a New York hub and was able to get them for free shipping if I bought two. And I felt good about to. But now that they only do international shipping I probably won’t buy it again sadly.

I rather like the Elf Balm sticks. Some tint and a cantaloupe taste. Then, the best makeup and balm combo has to be the balm sticks from Em Cosmetics. Talk about plush. Em colors are all gorgeous.
A while back I tried the Maybelline Lifter Glosses that were widely loved and praised. The smell and taste were so awful for me that I had to throw them away. Yuck. I’m curious about the concept of liquid balms. I hadn’t realized there was such a thing.
Menthol should not ever be in lip products.... it's just drying and does not plump (not that anything really does). I ran (online, not literally) to Target and purchased Naturium when you said "Bite old formula"! Thanks for sharing!
Unfortunately, the only balm that keeps my lips soft and smooth, without a trace of dryness, is Medicated Chapstick. Works like a dream; I have it it 4 different places around the house so I'm never without it.😉
I wonder if the Rare Beauty liquid lip balm has the same ingredient that triggers the gene that causes some people (and not others) to experience a soapy taste when they eat cilantro
