welcome to the party man! ive been in GME since the 2021 squeeze and tbh everyone is hopeful but not always educated. traders get a bad rep because you are supposed to hold and drs etc but i honestly dont see it making much of a difference on price over 3 years. its refreshing to have someone look at this as an outsider and using their knowledge as a profitable trader to see where the money can actually be made

I have learnt a lot from you and very thankful for you and planing to buy your corses soon also to take some sessions. I would like to ask an educational question if you don't matter answering, hypothetically if GME reach 400$ by mid to end of Sep what is the best play with options, is it going for OTM or ATM or ITM for example Oct calls or any other expiry dates ? Not looking for financial advice here, and thanks again for all your content and especially on GME.
For this scenario, I would look at buying either ATM or ITM calls (probably 60-70deltas) that are out in November ish. could you clarify this a bit more? if you buy and option, you have the choice of exercise whenever you want. as a seller, you typically don't want to increase your chances of assignment. so I just need to clarify what your thought process is
On June 12th, there were 2 big buys of long calls, somebody has a sense of humor, 1040 contracts (get it?) each @ the $26 & $27 strikes. The value of each purchase was a bit over $1.25m. But unless Roaring Kitty can trade in pre-market, these were institutional buys.
Unlike in 2021, this time round RK is after HFT and Market Makers rather than short sellers. He must have figured out how to do this, so CHWY is just a distraction. I think Richard was onto something when noting over the weekend that there was no price discovery and push in price when RK was buying CHWY but only after the SEC filing was published.

Brother, let me tell you, this is not "anomalous" what we are seeing is happening EVERYWHERE on every single stock, we just happen to track only GME. But, FTDs are everywhere!
not quite actually, the first one I saw being built, which is how I ended up establishing a position. to build it would be via slightly OTM options that hopefully have support further at following strikes to continue it and drive price through expanding hedging.
@@OutlierTrading I saw it too. And how I remember it when the price was at $10, they got the $15’s weeks out. Then once those were loaded, they got the $10-14’s. Once price got to $12 the ramp was already made and it got up to the highest contract at the time which was 27. When they included more contract strikes the price fell shortly after.
So you’re telling me that retail is buying stupid calls that will expire worthless and have that money go back to the MM’s instead of just buying the stock to help with RK’s plan. Smh I hate being a retailer, so many stupid retailers, JUST BUY THE STOCK AND STOP BUYING STUPID CALLS
not necessarily purchases OTM - but looking for anomalous purchasing behavior. Implied vol is the expected variance of price - higher IV = higher expectation of larger price swings. check out some of the other videos in the Options Flow playlist and you'll get a sense over the last week or so how we can use this info.
@@OutlierTrading I get it. You explain it very well. My buddy uses unusual whales to track your concept. What is considered high iv and large anomalous orders?
Both of those are relative to each product. So it requires a little bit of baselining to understand what’s “normal vs “abnormal”. Some useful tools are iv percentile, visualizing the volatility surface, looking for dense strikes, scanning for larger than average orders, etc. It takes a while to get a feel for it.
In a bigger picture, Do those $125 calls force the hedge funds to cover that dollar amount or affect their financials at all? Can’t understand why anyone would buy those.
