Welcome To Survival-Russia. One of the very best Outdoors and Survival related communities on RU-vid, and yes, It's a pretty good Channel too.
My name is Lars. I'm From Denmark but I live in Rural Russia now. I live at a Homestead in wild nature surrounded by a huge forest.
On The Survival-Russia channel we do all things related to the Outdoors Lifestyle. I share my thoughts and experiences on Survival Techniques for the woodlands of the Northern Hemisphere. the Reality of Survival. I share Techniques and ways of the Siberian Tribesmen and the Russian Longhunters of the older days. Things not shown outside of Russia very much.
On this Channel we also do Off-Road driving, Vehicle builds, Metal Detecting, all things Outdoors basically. Enjoy!

I used to only use the handline when camping, but this last year I upgraded the simple fishing setup to my camping bag. I added a fly reel, rod eyelets that can be popped onto any long stick, and a few cable clamps to secure the reel to the stick. It fits in a very small pouch (even a jacket pocket) takes only a few minutes to set up. Even if it's not a good day for fishing, it gives me a feeling of accomplishment as the fish ignore my bait.

I believe that the best time to fish is when the bugs are heaviest. The fish come to the surface to feed, and they're ready for your bait.

Best spots for fishing are where water flows from stream to bigger water. Often fish like to wait snacks from the forest on there. Better yet if it has some vegetation where fish like to hide. Best time for fishing is early in the morning or late evening (when it's not too hot or too dark), that's when bugs and bats fly over the water...

I remember going fishing with my class mates back in my school days We caught some type of fish that was 36cm long but since we all were unexperienced we didnt know what to do and we really didnt want to kill it. After 15 minutes of trying to figure out if we want to kill it and eat it we decided to let it go XD We then had a mate go to a shop and fetch some sausages so we can cook them on the camp fire.

If you have a lot of little fish in the area they will clean your hook of worms all day long and you can rarely get them to actually swallow the hook. I’ve fed tons of worms to the bream and freckle in southern Virginia 😉

Lars, I e been fishing since I was six, and am now 59. The beauty of live bait isn’t just that it’s the best attractant (despite what fishing lure companies want you to think), but it’s something you can throw out and leave while you do something else. So long as local laws allow that. Chuck a worm on a hook, and go do some camp chores. You’ll probably have something on when you come back 20 min later. Anyway, thanks for taking us along on your break from the cabin

Lars, at 12:24 in this video you delivered to me the biggest mind f*k that I've ever had while sober. Because I didn't realize that your pot is oval in shape and that I was seeing it face on while you poured your coffee, I thought that you were pouring out of a round pot, which is what we usually see on RU-vid, and that it was held at an angle that just made the opening LOOK elliptical. The problem was that I couldn't tell where the pot disappeared to. It looked like you were pouring coffee out of a portal to another dimension. Go back and look and just pretend that your pot is round and see if you see what I saw. Weird!
