ooh, interesting! as a Deep Purple fan I didn't know that! I found a nice video about it: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-l3VgnTUleM0.html
It's not a famous guitar. This is a "Skyway Premium" - a guitar imported from China to the Polish market in the early 90s. It is the cheapest guitar that contained manufacturing defects (including a bridge where the scale was mismatched to the frets). I made a lot of modifications with the assumption that one day this guitar will be a prototype of a luthier's guitar (I plan to go to a local luthier to make a guitar for me). I replaced almost everything in it (the wood and the base of the bridge remained, I replaced all the accessories myself along with the frets). It is my "number one" guitar because I have been looking for solutions to meet my needs many times (I have been looking for a neck pickup for about 10 years!!!). For me, this guitar is the perfect hybrid of Gibson scale (24.75) and Stratocaster build. It has a smaller body and its size fits me very well. I have two more guitars, you know the Fender Stratocaster has different characteristics and the modifications in my Strat were inspired by this guitar. I use it on par with Strat. I also have a Cort z-42 (also very modified, including a sustainer installed). The planned luthier guitar is to have a Kahler bridge and a sustainer. but it's a matter of a few years, you need to save money :)
@@czermi7564 wow that sounds complicated, I don't have the know how and nerves to start fiddeling with my guitars. Most sre Strats and Teles and the best one's are made by warmooth parts but not by me.
@@michaelwirth6843 fact, such work requires patience and there is always a risk of making a mistake - that's why I decided to take a chance on a cheap guitar :)
