Deep Purple Mark 1 performing their US top 5 single Hush live on US TV (Playboy After Dark) in 1968. Highly stylised and an exceptionally beautiful audience with all the trademark 60's flamboyance - this looks like a scene from Austin Powers!

Yes, I listened to this song and I got this feeling, and today is April 2024, so I got this feeling that I had made a trip to the cave ages. The good news is that many are no longer with us, and there they are still young, and what awesome hairstyles, I remember I myself was a kid in the 70s, I also wore long hair, but I lived in the USSR and rock music as such there wasn’t, but there were tape recorders and we took out the recordings and listened, that was great. I can say a lot more about that era, but still I grew up on rock, and I love our time more, although if we put aside politics and the idiots of Western leaders, then music always remains in the first place in my life.

Weird seeing Ritchie w/a Gibson ES355/335 rather than his trademark Fender Stratocaster. The neck looks dwarfed by his huge hands. Also interesting seeing Jon Lord sing...& playing the Hammond B3 sitting. Rod Evans was a good vocalist. Not as good as Ian or David (or Joe Lynn Turner) but okay. Nick Simper on bass? Ritchie was never a fan of. Can see why. Love the helmet hair. Darth Hairnet!
