Some great shots. Photography around the rig was very nice showing how the fish find craters to hide in. The wahoo shot was worth the whole video. Sometime you need to cross cut some steaks on the wahoo and grill them bone in with lemon pepper, butter and garlic. As you already know they are one of the best eating fish of all time. Thanks for the top notch video. I watch you and Captain Jack almost exclusively for spearfishing. 😎
Your channel is criminally underrated. You shoukd reach out to the Field Ethos guys. Don Trump Jr, Peter Correale, the inventor of the Q Fix, Kevin. Lots of good hunting and fishing people with great cinematography.
How many miles off the coast are yall going? We are based out of rockport and would love to give it a try sometime. Just not sure how far out we want to take the single motor out.
Hey Braden love your channel, curious if you have any thoughts on using your carbon fins on scuba. I exclusively scuba spear and have been using plastic Cressi Gara 2000 HFs for years since they work well for reaching students in an emergency since that's my full time job. I'm just unsure whether dropping big money on carbons would be significant enough of an upgrade to justify the cost on scuba, asking because I see you using them on both dives in the video. Thanks in advance!
You will see little benefit on scuba going to carbons. And you run a higher risk of breaking them on a rig or reef or structure. The main benefit of carbon is gained when freediving. Just my 2 cents. But I dive with those same cressi fins. I get new ones every year or so
Hello, sir I'm Ali, from Indonesia sir, your content on fish archery is very good.. Very interesting, I often watch your videos... Actually, I also like spearfishing, but I don't have a diving suit like my father... Do you have a wetsuit that you don't wear? It's very expensive where I live, so I can't afford it.... 😭😭😭😢
Braden whatever your back workout is keep it going, ripped af. Why the scuba spear shot by that person though? Very un sportsmanlike and frowned down upon by 95% of us spearos, disappointed that you put that in the video, even if it isn't you or is legal there it will make you look bad and give us a bad name worldwide(just positive criticism for the future I want to keep seeing your channel grow as much as it has recently) BUT the video was killer as always.
haha appreciate it! I think the issue is mostly people just going about spearing on scuba unethically- and that is how it gives the bad name..which I totally I understand the issue with. In this case here it was done ethically and within the limit. The moral dilemma is using it to an advantage for say trophy hunting, cleaning house....etc. I have a buddy who charters and they catch a boat limit of amberjack every trip during amberjack season. These fish were speared but same result- and it was the only trip of the entire year of my buddy doing it so I don't see the harm in this scenario. just my opinion... could go on and on about it back and forth. I get where you're coming from and I agree in those cases just mentioned.. but people have the option here in the US and I just filmed what went down, keeping it real. Again the back and forth can go on..the counter-argument about it in this case is eliminating the bycatch and still being selective. but people will do what they're gonna do 🤷
