Deep Sleep Trilogy ( Deep Sleep ) - You Should Wake Up ( Horror Adventure ) 

For anyone wondering, DO NOT USE A WET CLOTH ON THINGS THAT ARE HOT! I have seen too many people in my time as a line cook and sous chef where people have messed themselves up because of this. Water on a hot anything will burn you horribly because the water instantly turns to steam from the cloth and has nowhere to go. You could wind up with skin grafts or worse.

Dreams are weird. The dreams I had as myself usually feel abstract, nonsensical. The dreams that had seemingly linear plots were ones where I "lived" as other people, most of them feeling like fluffy, shoujo romances. In all of them I knew I was dreaming, just that I couldn't control anything so I'd just "take a seat" & see where they take me.

Can’t wait till Don’t Escape 4. That game is an absolute banger.

I never noticed when playing the game myself, but the golden statue is really similar looking to the one in Amnesia the dark descent. You know, the one.

Both the Deep Sleep and Don't Escape series are connected plot wise, but only in Don't Escape 4 we see the connection, and Deep Sleep should be the first game to play anyway.

I loved the first game when I played it as a kid! Those two white dots suddenly appearing in the darkness spooked my skeleton right out of my skin.

Dreams tend to be one of two extremes, and this seems to be at the ugly end of that deal, let's see what happens. In my experience, i have had very good dreams, cute and beautiful, but i can't remember anything when i wake up. Which is curious for me because i am not the happiest or optimistic person around. Maybe my heart and mind differ with eachother...

Lucid nightmares are THE WORST. Lucidity just means you're aware you're dreaming, not that you have power over the dream.

Ah, the trilogy from this creator I'm less familiar with. It does seem fairly impressive given its age, I quite like that dissolve effect.

When I'm running away from something in my dream I always run down the dark path instead of the one with light. See my logic in dreams is that the thing chasing me would assume that I would go towards the light because it seems safer . Not on my watch my man

Another game series that reminds me of the don't escape and deep sleep games are the cube escape/rusty lake series. Hopefully Manly will check that series out eventually

Once I started gaining control in my dreams I stopped dreaming regularly, I recall the last one before they quit happening I was frustrated because I couldn't make something happen or the dream personalities were ignoring me, now I only get stress dreams.

I found this game recently in the Flashpoint archive, and let me tell you the screenshot did not give me any warning as to what I was getting into. For some reason, whoever was in charge of picking an image decided to go with a picture from really early in the game, before the bedroom falls apart, giving me the impression that I was going into a basic "escape the room" point and click adventure game. When the first monster showed up, I freaked out like a Let's Player with a fanbase of primarily children. I was like, "AH! OH! OH SWEET ARCEUS, WHAT IS THAT!"
