This is pretty freaking cool! Most deepfakes have a little bit of odd jank to them where you can tell it's computer generated, but deepfaking into video game footage makes it feel like it was meant to be there.

I know its quite a different face, but how on earth does this little tweaks make it look so much more natural? It looks like real. Straight out of a movie (the face) but it doesnt differ so much from jarkans face. Just a little bit cleaner. This looks top notch. I hope they can implement such realism in the next generation games.

This goes to show how amazing the animation and performance capture is in this game.

Pause at 3:44. It's proof that, even though realistic eyes have come far, they still have a ways to go to really sell it...that along with more complex facial animations to get the little details. Can't wait to see ND's PS5 debut (not a definitive edition, but a game built from the ground up to take full advantage of the hardware).

It's amazing how much better this looks because of being rendered on top of video game characters. A lot of real deepfakes still look great, but you can tell they're off because of the uncanny valley. But in this situation where it's for a video game character, it kind of gets rid of the uncanny valley part and looks even better. Technology is crazy
