There are multiple reasons for why a Majority and may I underline a Majority of Deepwoken players are upset about this. You know it's bad when I can make a whole list: 1. The weapon is untested of course and came out majorly overpowered. 2. The weapon doesn't fit any prior established lore and just seems made up on the spot. 3. The weapon is most definitely molded off of Fino's bias for the Hive being the person who works on things related to it, and even states that he knows it's overpowered and hopes it doesn't get nerfed. 4. Green Flame was never a thing, although that's not the point here it's the fact that it seems like things are being made on the spot to justify him making something that's bizarre and sticks out like a sore thumb. 5. The weapon is power creep to the next level containing 5 criticals. 6. The weapon hits as hard as a Crypt blade and swings not only faster than it but a majority of heavy weapons being as large as it is. 7. It seems like the game's visual direction is abandoning its original look and moving towards making "Anime Slop". 8. Fino intentionally did this because he wanted to buff Flamecharm however this was not the way most people were expecting, and not to mention they received no way to object against it. Moving away from this for a bit let me move into other problems that current Deepwoken players are having with the game. 9. The devs are making big things or huge changes with no feedback to receive massive backlash or hate waves when it's unliked. 10. The devs refuse to give out polls 90% of the time and only finally stepped up when they realized how something like Ping Comp shook up the game state. I could go on but the point is that the players in this situation are not wrong or being ungrateful they're upset because the game they loved so much is being thrown around so much and changed, going into a direction that they don't like. We all know Deepwoken isn't the same as it was before but the view is looking much and much more foggier on what they really want to do with the game. This is getting really long so I'll just end it here.
How does it mess with the lore though? It was made by a hive lord and given to another as a gift. Then the weapon was abandoned or something. Idk man. Also, there are hive lords that use flamecharm so some could make a weapon that fits. And the green forge event at hive could be related in a way.

Honestly they are right this weapon is literally a bladeball, anime adventures fucking slop. When we got railblade and deepcrusher (connected to the ALREADY PRESENTED lore and not RETCONNED into the lore, amazing design, relatively balanced on release) it was delightful! Then we look at the green slab (50 DMG ON A HEAVY WEAPON WITH **0.7** SWINGSPEED, 5 CRITS, HYPERARMOR ON ALL OF THEM, HIVE LORE THAT DOESNT CONNECT WITH ANYTHING EVER SAID BEFORE,) The worst of all? Yayafino didnt even allow the testers to do the job they were assigned to (TEST THE GAME) and said it was a "surprise". I'm 100% sure NONE of the competent developers would agree to this. Old legendaries were beautifully designed, some very broken but nevertheless connected to the game's "dead world" vibe but this bro? If we're gonna have bad content its better to not have it at all, just stop doing weeklies and focus on giving us actual substantial and original content that I KNOW they are capable of. They created this amazing game on a shitty platform that every dev only cares about how much they're making of it. A passion project through and through. Im willing to understand the devs and i forgive especially yayafino for his mistakes, however, if he does not learn with the CLEAR backlash this has caused i'm very terrified of what deepwoken might become in the future. To make a point, deepwoken players often feel like they are relegated to content from the developers ever since verse 2, deepwoken had a decent fanbase with people who fell in love with the game after buying it for it's beautiful world building, after that came the influx of people soon making the game competitive, wanting more content and making the game seem less procedual with it's steps, rushing stuff without balancing it and ruining the stability of the game overtime, it makes stuff like visionshaper and linkstrider staying weak while reworking jetstriker to have insane amounts of damage without testing it, the devs feel as if they owe us updates when we are only players, i feel as if they don't want what was once worthy of game of the year to now lose to a game like type soul, a bleach game who already has base material to work with and add onto the game, unlike that deepwoken wants to stay original but with the game running out of idea's and innovation they slowly fall back onto references of anime and games, mantras and weapons are becoming unoriginal and based on something else causing the game to feel less charming and more repetitive cause you don't feel an incentive to try this new thing cause why should you, you have seen where it's from wether it is from a show or another game, so you know how it works, and you know how play with it.. it makes it less experimental A casual fanbase is always better than a competitive one as at least the casual fanbase stays with you as the competitive fanbase will eventually leave, why do you believe that games fall off so badly, y.b.a was barely living with 4-7k players at a given moment (which is still a lot) but that's barely half to the 20k that constantly plays cause the game became competitive with it's stands and reworks, but the content in y.b.a feels original at least, it makes people wanna try the newest thing, if not grind for it, it perfected the medium of keeping players inside it Roblox is a website meant to have dopamine afterall, so if we withhold updates for 7 days players eventually get bored and drop it, making it 5 days makes the game harder to play cause it becomes a balance nightmare with weaker stuff like bells and oaths being ignored.. Personally i think they should just slow down on updates and actually work on the stuff we really want like conquest and lore, something that the players since they started have always liked..who likes deepwoken for it's combat anyway?

@@red_flare3784 One, out of the past 8+ pseudo legendaries/legendaries, wyrmtooth, pale briar, celurean thread, blaj blah blah, all got either 20 crits or really specific/special effects, the only weapon that's really normal it's the dawnshot, which is normal most probably cause it's supposed to be mid game use, we need more variety on looks and weapons overall, that aren't just new legendaries that have a 0.0001% drop chance or have this huge amount of powercreep

Or make the mantras green if you have the sword equipped, because it is kinda weird the weapon being the only thing with green fire, even ur flame mantras can be blue or normal flame while havin the green weapon, so that's kinda odd
The devs make a poll, world events wins by a mile. Even tho world events won we get conquest. Conquest was said to come out in march and that was a stretch and now its halfway threw april and no word on conqest release

Sick weapon for sure, just 3 minor easy fixes too make the whole community happy (I have mad this synopsis from scrolling suggestions for like an hour) 1. Colour, The community just likes the weapon changing too their flame color 2. Please add 2 critical at most it makes a weapon much better than most other with 6 criticals and 2 maybe 3 is balanced 3. animes (fixing on monday so why would people be mad) This is just what i have found from searching, idrc enough too fight over the look of a weapon and bro if i was fino i down my weapon i made for the community too be called a "ninja legends ahh sword" 😭
the problem with weeklies is releasing them bit by bit to add up to a huge update isnt really hype worthy. Like maestro he was found in like 3 days but if he was one of the shadow updates they wouldve added in conquest with attunements oaths and new stuff overall we mightve just found maestro newly. I dont think they should even make weekly balances considering they ruin one thing and one thing becomes busted. just make a nerf if its necesarry or once a month when chime elo resets so its actually remarkable
I love the weapon (mabey im baised because i got it yesterday) but I will agree that it is a little rushed, m1 anims not finished, the slide crit wasn't finished, completly broken, and the update came out kinda late my theory is that they really wanted to drop this weapon in the weekly so they just rushed it a little bit and didn't even have time to test it or consider a good obtainment method. Still thats no reason to hate on the weapon, its cool af and really unique.
I think the new legendary weapons are bad for the general gameplay of deepwoken. Edit: This may seem like I dislike the update, but No I think it was a fantastic update, just that imo, I'm scared of future updates being more and more powerful weapons until people with non min maxed builds get insta killed.
it's a phenomenon called powercreeping, usually made in lingering franchises. If the dev don't upgrade what already is, and keep adding new, stronger weapons, it might actually happen that yes, unmaxed builds are going to get insta killed.
in reality it doesnt power creep as much as you think it does, things just drop stronger than intended possibly bc we get weeklies unlike 99% of games, me personally i dont think the weapons are bad if given time to properly be balanced more

Way too flashy, looks like it's from blade ball, doesn't fit the 'grounded' style deepwoken always wanted to have 3. Overcomplicated, multiple crits, deepwoken's new weapons are becoming more and more complex because complex=cool, again, denying the grounded feeling of the game 4. There is NO GREEN FIRE in deepwoken, why is it green? like deadass 5. Was made by yayafino to be his spec, it was never meant to be public 6. Yayafino made it with the purpose of being overpowered like what the actual hell? TLDR: Flashy, doesn't fit the vibe, overcomplicated, spec weapon, made op on purpose by a dev who is biased as fuck for his faction/weapon, why green? we don't even got a path that is green

it fits the lore, and imo the green flame is cool. but the problems are: its literally busted. 5 crits? woah woah woah and we have so many heavy weapons ! AND SOME OF THEM ARE RELATED TO FLAMECHARM! we have first light and railblade, (heavies that apply burn) and we also have crypt, gran sudaruska, stoneheart, kyrsieger, and the wyrmtooth (if you count it) and the pale briar.
its a cool af weapon and all but like why the low chances of it dropping? make it the same rarity as curved from ethiron or smth like that cuz this is kinda dumb
the only thing im mad about is that the flames dont turn green with the weapon, you kinda need twisted puppets or azure to actually make this weapon look good.
the fact that the legendary has four criticals makes it feel less special now that a few other weapons also have criticals but then the fact that they shoved one in there for the cost of 10 light weapon im unsure why but the weapon just feels off from what it couldve been (mostly pressed about this weapon because the drip fell off with the addition of an offhand dagger)
my issue with the last few weekly’s is that they are great content for content creators and what not but for a casual player they just ain’t doing much. Honestly I get more excited for quality of life changes over a new legendary weapon. For a content creator, a new legendary weapon is that weeks content secured. For someone who isn’t that interested in the weapon (or just doesn’t have to time to farm for the wicked low drop rate of this one) it just feels like a mostly empty update. Hope they keep doing more QoL stuff and improving early game cause honestly I think the game will die out if the devs don’t start seriously thinking of better ways to pull in new players
The flame legendary wep is still good with the nerfs, ive been using it and even had to restart my build due to the new requirements… The color isnt even that bad tho
As a new console player, the game is so magical to me. I really have problems with servers, they have cost me so many easy duke fights its insane. I dont like that the game really only favors pvp, i feel like i need to do pve first the pvp. Also the skill curve between console and pc is just depressingly huge.

I think it fits because the only location to get it is hive, and some hive events has a green looking forge, and fits the green theme of hive, also at least we finally get a legit flame legendary

The only issue I have with it is, I’m not complaining about new content, I’m actually glad that flame got a legendary, I’m more mad about it being a particle generator 9000 with 5 busted crits that looks like it came directly out of blade ball.
I think what people want is transparency on the progress of major updates. Look at Rell Games while they develop rell seas. Theyve been very active with the community when it comes to showing off their game and giving details about it as well as devlogs and movies.

What is this man yapping about, a lot of people don't like it because it doesn't fit deepwoken or flame charm itself. No one really complains about new content unless they genuinely don't like it. The sword doesn't even fit flamecharm and feels so rushed and unoriginally. It look's like someone took an asset from dungeons quest or world zero and put it in deepwoken. They keep rinsing and repeating the same formula hoping that people will eat it up since it worked last time. It makes no sense why it's green, it doesn't even feel like a flame charm weapon, the fire flowing on the weapon doesn't even look like fire just a glowing light.

i know the video talks mostly about the new legendary flame weapon which i have mixed reviews about but how come noone is talking about how GARBAGE the new mudskipper broodlord is, legit added it to diluvian making it now impossible because you have to deal with something that has more hp than duke erisia himself (duke with 15k hp, corrupt broodlord with 18k) and it applies anti heal for 8s while doing a full BAR to your hp if you get hit by it ONCE and then they add it's weaker counter part to to1 as if its going to replace sharkos everywhere, and then the brute does a bar of your hp for one missed parry, summons boomskippers that ALSO do a bar (the explosion) and the fact they can just spawn 3 broodlords at once on one sea event right off the shore of erisia is wild and the fact you can easily lead them to etris or vigils is also wild, im hoping they either nerf broodlords to be actually killable instead of invincible having almost QUADRUPLE the hp of a corrupted owl (corrupted broodlord) thank god i haven't actually encountered a corrupted broodlord because i died practically immediately to two normal broodlords that got me by surprise and i got sent to depths despite having RA, exoskeleton, and black diver, deepwoken so doomed they got me playing sol's rng

My guy, I played deepwoken since release and followed the game since the announcement in rogue. The game always had the style of a medieval rpg with a hint of magic, and whilst in the lore there were strong magic users, i.e. pleeksty or the saint jay, we would never be able to reach their power. Thing is deepwoken has been on a massive decline from what it wanted to be, it has devolved from an rpg to a sandbox game. Not only that, with easy to access enchants and armour enchants alongside equipemwnt dyes, everyone is running around looking like a glowstick. This issue becomes worse with mantras like flaming scourge or shade wisp (genuinely compare any verse two mantras to mid/early verse one, i.e. scourge vs fire blade / thunder blade vs rising thunder). As well as mantras, the weapons and new crits are also annoying, flashy and overpowered, though with things like the mage meta m1ing is as irrelevant as ever. Whereas in verse one mantras would act as a mixups/support for your weapon, now people just run around spamming there high aoe mantras that do a bar. Another issue is to do with shrine of order. Whereas in the past you would have to sacrifice talents in order to go more in something else, shrine allows you to basically get everything you want on a build/essentials and more (though it does allow for hybrids so ig ill give it that) The game also heavily feels like an anime game now, due to the abundance of mantras that are incredibly flashy and blinding looking straight out of jjk (permafrost prison, new illusion realm). I am aware that chrollos knife and bells were from hxh, but they fit because the krulian knife is very tame and not a neon lighsaber or something, and bells like windup is literally a big punch. Finally, the main issue is people seeking meta builds that do bars of dmg, rather then just making a build based about what you want. Ironi that for so many updates encouraging build variety, I still see so many copy and paste builds. Therefore, when deep adds a legendary glowstick looking straight out of a p2w mobile rpg game that doesnt fit the main element it belongs too, then all these afformentioned issues accumulate into people being annoyed. To call it unfair is blind ignorance. If u couldn't be asked to read this then thats fair. Ive felt this about the game for a while so wanted to get it off my chest.

Maybe if this was pre-release you'd be right. But everybody's running around with glows sticks (enchants) flashy mantras and effects/talent stacks. The dye packets further pushed this and now you see people looking like theyre Tyler Fortnite Blevins with their cyan hair. This is literally just what Deepwoken is now. Gothic-woken has fallen, billions must look like anime chars.
I just wish they would do more with light guns. I know they added 1 recently, but that was the first since THE RELEASE OF THE GAME, and not only that, it isnt even an endgame weapon.... It's arguably worse than both flintlock and dragoon. Medium guns got a legendary before light guns got a new weapon. Theres 4 options for light gun players. Thats it.
im one of the haters and i think the weapon is fine but im just mad we keep getting greatswords dawg. the only light weapon legendary is the flareblood kamas and i really wanted the flamecharm weapon to be a light weapon but instead they just make it a sidearm for another greatsword which pisses me off
I like the new weapon a lot but the only problem is that it is a bit too rare. I have only been farming for over 20 hours since it came out and have opened over 2k chests as well as friends But it is simply not possible 😭

oh yes I love doing the hive npc quest for 20 hours with tp bell just to not get the legendary (i am not even 10% close to getting the weapon) don't get me wrong I'm not with the people saying that it should be removed not at all but tell me why do i have to farm the most boring npc quest for hours upon hours just for a chance to get a weapon that is 0.00001. I do understand the perspective of the players saying that the weapon is not from deepwoken, even though i don't care. the deepwoken devs have stopped trying to make things look like "deepwoken" a while ago. This is the last straw for those players that got mad.
u have a point, the only thing im complaining about is the fucking lag. i play asia server but the servers with the lowest ping is 150-200... shit crazy
i didnt know they had one till i saw your prog then i was HYPED. i wanted it so bad. then i saw this and thought “how can someone hate this badass weapon?”

Honestly I was a bit depressed when I saw it cause I didn't liked the model and it was looking too much as a kyrsieger but now it changes color Its my favorite wep ngl (I don't very like green)
I don't like the aspect of green/black/yellow flames, I (PERSONALLY) would rather have a red/blue/purple/white flame weapon, about the Hvy and Light requirements I feel like they are trying to get us what we longed since verse 1, two-handed weapons and hybrids, but yeah I would too prefer a "burning medieval chain mace" than a GS + dagger, the current weapon is fine btw.
they should put back sharko in trial and remove golem from diluvian and replacec it with the coral thingy cuz golem dosent belong for the depths mob theme in diluvian
alright time to go on a yap ok so what people mean when they say it doesent fit in deepwoken is because of the vfx it has deepwokens original style has always been minimalist with its vfx meaning that it doesent have hugely detailed vfx where as pyre has so much vfx that it looks like its from a game like blade ball where its vfx is just to much it would look alright but the contrast it has to other stuff in deepwoken makes it just not pleasing to look at a better example of what a legendary flame weapon could've looked like is the thumbnail supaa used for his 1st video on the new flame weapon it fits in way more with deepwokens over all style on to the point about it not fitting with flamecharm many people say it doesent fit with flamecharm cuz think about every other legendary gran sudaruska blue just like ice stormseye yellow like thunder crypt black like shadow ect all the legendary weapons are the same colour as the base attunements so why is pyre green? it just doesent make sense we have never seen green flame let alone heard of it in any way before this legendary weapon and it just is dissapointing to see flamecharms 1st legendary weapon that i know so many players have been waiting for seems like it has very little to do with base flamecharm and just had lifeweave slapped on top another problem with the new legendary weapon is that its over filled with stuff it feels like they just got everything they could and put it in this weapon 5 critcals that iincludes a very similar ability to ankle cutter and do massive damage which is already a ton of stuff for one weapon like thats a whole moveset 💀 and then the effect green flames which procs flame talents and burns every hit so its already a better blazing cuz it works every hit and then it also reduces ur speed by 50% so its also similar to chilling so to summarise this weapon is 2 enchants and a whole moveset also its just another legendary greatsword i mean we have so many of these already its just unfair to other weapon classes im convinced that the only reason railblade lost its legendary status is so they could wank in another legendary greatsword it would've been nice to have a legendary normal sword or hell some kind of light weapon would be great they really need one light weapons last legendary was flarebloods probably a year ago now (im not gonna check) but i doubt light will get a legendary any time soon since there appears to be a surprising amount of ppl who say that its to hard to ballance legendary light weapons or that they just dont feel legendary but thats besides the point its frustrating as a player who doesent play to much heavy to see just so many rare end game heavy weapons with unique crits added every other week like show some love to the other classes alright final yap paragraph the reason people are calling it lazy is because its the same model as the kyrsieger they just tried to hide that behind vfx but everyone with eyes can see it still they edited it a tiny bit and then slapped green vfx on it and called it a day it feels lazy especially for flamecharm this is an element that has been popular since day 1 and it has gotten one of the laziest weapons in conclusion the legendary weapon is kind of disapointing for many players myself included which is a shame because the other main half of the update being mudoraga and the coral cestus is so good my only thought on why the flamecharm weapon was so lazy is because they spent to much time on mudoraga but idk my suggestion on what i think they should do would be to rework the model in future updates maybe change its effects a bit to maybe just regular flame tune down the sheer amount of crits to maybe 2 or 3 cuz 5 is just to much so instead of removing it just dramatically change it so all the players who grinded for it can keep it also if they do rework it they should probably change its obtainment cuz sweet christ 😭anyway thats the yap fest done with
the weapon isnt that bad but i feel like they spent 90% of the time on the crits and 10% on the rest the big sword is a slightly retextured kyrsieger the "dagger" looks really bad and it is longer than the medium starter sword which for a dagger makes no sense the color is just werid. i get all that hive lore blah blah but why make it a flamecharm weapon if the flame isnt even a flame. even the animations arent unique theyre railblade m1s. youd think having a 2nd weapon in your offhand means youd use that yo hit as well but i guess its just there for decor. im really hoping itll get a rework in the next update now on to the mob i quite like it my only problem is that it looks a bit too chunky and doesnt feel "mudskippery" enough which can be easily adjusted by making it a little bit skinner and adding some vines/mushrooms/etc to the model
Supaa meat riding with this one fr fr. We do love and want more deepwoken content, but unfortunately, this deepwoken weapon wasn't it. It's all about the implementation of content, not the content itself. Don't even get me started with YBA though, shit was fucking ass. The new updates had the same implementation problem with the scary monsters rework being op, jank, and had players malding because it literally had a 100-0 combo bro.
deepwoken is far better than type soul. the pvp is better and more skill based the pve exist they are more things to do in deepwoken etc personally i think type soul gonna lose all of the player base in 2-6 weeks becaus its to fast to prog and not fun at all so yes the people need to stop saying that deepwoken is dying becaus type soul (srry for my english guys)
I don’t really care about the new weapon but I’m just pissed about the to1 change like it’s not like I can’t clear to1 but it’s just annoying they should’ve just kept sharko
I had my opinions tbh, but like the devs did NOT deserve backlash over it, and plus even if people want other stuff in updates they can just wait a week 😭😭
