Generally another small line like paracord, or what you used to lower your bow. I tie that to the carabiner that the rope is fed through creating the anchor. Once on the ground, I pull on the para cord and it pulls the carabiner down as the rope feeds through it.
@@gmarrese91 you’d need a rappel rope and a mad rock safe guard, that’s around $200 right there. Then, to properly one stick you get an ultimate one stick which is $300 minimum… $500 minimum to one stick
Do you use your tether to climb and only use your repel rope for coming down the tree? If so does that mean you carry a tether, lineman’s, and repel rope?
Good question! I don't carry a linesman belt at all, and I climb with my rappel rope. I do carry a tether to get around branches if I need to, but that's the only time I use it.

Great question!! I already had those sticks from the previous year. So it was either buy a true one stick with a built in platform or just a platform. I opted for just the platform so I could get my entire foot on it for more comfort.

Climbers aren't that great bud. Heavy, loud, clumsy af can't climb trees that are too big or too small, and there really isn't anything comfortable at all about being in a fucking tree so idk what your talking about lol

You definitely couldn't get up that same tree easier with a climber. Never mind the weight and noise from one plus the time setting it up once at the tree. But here's a video around a branch.
