fried tenderloin is good, save the gravy for the loin after you cut the tenderloin off. I like the bacon cover and bbq the loin, or chunk it up, into the crock pot with some potatoes, and onions, and carrots, with 2 gravy packets. Use the store bought brown gravy, but instead of water to mix it, use beef broth. Where it calls for 2 cups of water, for 2 packs, use 1 3/4 cup, make the gravy thick, cause the meat will give off it's own liquid. Pour the gravy over the meat, and vegetables, cook on low for about 6 hours. Best pot roast ever.
I'm not much of a drinker, but I saw a bar I play pool at had mgd last spring, and it was gooood that night. Water pooled on the roof and knocked it in a couple months later.
I got mad once at a 'HUNTER' and I use that term loosely. I was on the edge of a conversation. The man said he didn't need the meat. He just wanted the rack and there were too many bleeping deer anyways, so he cut off its head and what of the skin he needed for a pretty mount and just left the rest for the coyotes. I couldn't help myself. I said please tell me you at least reached in and pulled out the tenderloin. He looked at me like I grew a third eye or something. Further conversation told me he didn't know the difference between loin strip and tenderloin. At the very least next time he'll take time to grab that wild filet mignon.
As an old guy it is good to see a younger generation doing things that MEN do! not sissy stuff! we used to do that stuff everyday growing up on a farm. ahh yes, the good old days. He is the real deal. 👍
He's scared of ostrich. I've never seen him cook ostrich. You do know that you can buy USDA ostrich meat or live ostrich from South Carolina ostrich farm, I hope?
I wasn't able to get into hunting this past season, but I've been noting all of these cooking tips and recipes for this coming '24 hunting and I will be eating GOOD 🤙🏻

Sometimes keeping it simple is the best thing you can do for a cut of meat. This dude gets it. Looks fantastic, and I'm sure it tastes as good as it looks.
