Thank you so much for this thorough exploration of deer symbolism. I just saw a group of deer outside my office while thinking about how lonely I felt and how I feel as if I pour into others and not into myself enough. I felt compelled to look up the symbolism. The cynic in me wanted to downplay how I always look for meaning in strings, then I clicked on the date you released this video and it was my birthday. So much of what you said resonated and I will use this deer wisdom to apply it to myself and address my limitations and strengths.

I've felt a strong connection to whitetail and elk for as long as I can remember. I've lived in the woods up in the mountains since childhood and the first time I saw deer was when I was about 5/6 years old. I made eye contact with the buck and it was an amazing experience, I'm not sure why it was just a surreal experience to me.

i never saw a deer in my life til i went to San Francisco. i was passing through Robin Williams tunnels ( rest in peace to an amazing actor) then as i reached the end of the tunnel i saw two deer climbing a highway ish hill and it’s like they noticed before i drove by, but it was an incredible moment and I will not forget it honestly. this was literally 3 weeks ago, maybe a month by now, but yeah.

I found this video after yesterday seeing two deer running very close to edge of my garden, we live rural and very aware of them but this is the second time they catch my attention ( the other was getting into my car and hearing their bark and one running up hill) Then I kept finding myself looking accidentally at a deer figurine on my kitchen and also a blanket with deers on it So I had to look it up I very much believe that animals can become our totem or guides for a while or for lifetime if need be And that the Universe will deliver messages one needs to hear in any way available The whole experience yesterday was magical

I found a deer really close while walking through the park. It looked at me and I looked at it. Then it disappeared into the forest. I waited for a little just in case there was more for my own safety to move on. But when I came back to the spot later after, I felt a very weird yet calm sensation move through my body. I think it had to be a connection in some form. It was a unique feeling and a unique experience. Very happy to have experienced it. Deers seem very special and I feel related to them based on the totem. Thank you.

This was so amazing ! I have so many animal totems I've investigated. The Deer always felt like me - I never really searched its attributes until tonight. A Deer flew by my car ard 10 :pm this evening. It was so fast it barely missed the opposite traffic it was ridiculous.. Both our cars paused for a second to comprehend the speed of the animal.

This reminds me of the time me and my friend were in the meadows nearby and a white tail bounded by a few meters ahead of us, it was amazing!

So amazing 😊 I literally saw the deer this week EVERYWHERE!!! In magazines, in a book I bought on TV shows, Oracle cards in every reading..and to top it off ... I live in South Africa, so we don't have a deer running around, only see them in zoo...so I was on the road and saw this deer so I stopped and it was only looking at me.. saw a day later in the paper that it broke loose in an enclosed area ..what is the odds🤯😀

My grandfather, whose mother was full Seminole, used to call me Deer. He called me that because we lived in Michigan, in a rural community and we had acres of land that deer would run all over. I would run after them and I was super fast.My native American animal spirit is also the deer. I now live in the city, yet deer find their way into my yard all of the time. I thought my neighbor was stealing my beautiful roses from my yard but I caught a fawn eating them. I also have apple trees in my yard, and the deer eat the fallen apples each year. They give me comfort when I see them. Years ago, I was also driving down a dark highway and a group of deer were huddled in the middle of the highway an they started dancing around in front of my car. I honked until they finally drifted off into the woods.

I had an incredible experience the other morning where the earth shook my house tremendously, as the sun shone brighter, a deer appeared at my window (an injured doe).. I followed her out.. she seemed to be moving ok but not at full strength. She kept looking back to me.. i followed her to the edge of the field as I watched her go into the path in the woods. She looked back one more time. We parted ways.

I worked on several Deer ranches in South Texas so I'll share some of the stuff I learn or saw about deer while there. Deer are bigger than you think, the are like 200+ lbs and basically the size of a Great Dane. Deer aren't defenseless and female deer can actually be quite aggressive, they will hit their target with their front legs and have a lot of power in them. When antlers grow in the Summer time it is called Velvet, it is semi-hard, kinda squishy, and covering in many hair like growths. This velvet is filled with blood and can grow up to 2 cm per day. The nutrient deer need the most to grow antlers is protein. If they hurt their legs or antlers on one side, often the next year the opposite antler will grow in weird. The antlers are closer related to bone than horns, horns are dead cells that harden and accumulate, they are made out of the same thing that finger nails are made out of. Female deer actually have the capacity to grow antlers, not nearly as large and it is usually a sign or hormone unbalance because it was usually in much older does. Mule deer do the Pepe Le Pew (Skunk from Looney Toons) hop from the day they are born. My coworker saw a deer complete jump over a 8ft tall fence from rest. Personally and intelligence wise I'd say they are closest to Sheep (which isn't good). While fawn have a cry that sounds pretty close to a baby goat, the adult deer surprisingly didn't make to many sounds. The most vocals was when a doe was searching of fawns and its a deep grunt. Mostly I saw deer communicate via snorts, especially on the doe (female) side. They would snorts to direct everyone attention and a different snorts to scatter. At least in Whitetails, the predominantly have fraternal twins. The Rut which are the Winter months when they breed, does are in heat and antlers are hard. Outside of the rut, the males can be very docile and don't pick fight that often.

I did a meditation shaman guide to find my spirit animal about 8 years ago. I saw two badgers but they ran away. I saw a doe, stroked it and it followed me around during the entire session. It's odd to meditate or do a shaman guide because it feels like a dream even though you're awake. Kinda trippy. But I'm born in autumn, I'm a triple earth sign, I have large eyes, wear earth tones (browns, khakis, rusts, white, navy, grey) and I avoid confrontation. People always think I'm younger than I actually am by about 5/6 years due to what I physically look like. I'm extremely career driven and I go for what I want. I landed my dream job whilst in an extremely negative headspace. But I was able to get it done yet I always remind myself to take time out to relax. I can be very quiet like a doe or I can be very assertive like a stag. I was initially surprised to get the deer as a power/spirit animal but now I'm not surprised at all after reading more about it. Its 100% me.

I have a unicorn companion and through meditation a Stag appeared to me and I assumed he was my Unicorn's friend but he ran so fast to talk to him. And what made him interesting was he and a glowing Aura in the middle of is antlers. He looked pretty cool he was a White tail. And it seems in meditation with my unicorn spirit guide I often find the Stag's presences lurking in the back. I feel friendly though.

Very beautiful! Thanks for sharing this. I live with a herd of Columbian Black Tail Deer in the foothills of the Sierra and have given them names such as Sweet Pea, Lil Bean, Pepper, Chewy and more. Took about a year and a half to get them to trust me enough to eat out of my hand and one young buck I named Spike will let me scratch his head and rub his neck. I give them a little corn and they give me alot of peace. I have a channel on RU-vid and Tik Tok where I just simply interact with them and share uploads. Nothing too exciting just doses of divine boredom to drop one's dopamine levels back down to normal. I meditated to find my spirit animal and it goes like this (apologies if this is long): It started in a forest and as I looked around I came across some animals including a bear, a duck, a white wolf and a crow. Whenever I went up to speak or to touch the animal is disappeared in blue smoke. The scenes kept switching as I started running around almost like I was running from something and I ended in the forest again but with this big stag in front of me, I touched the stag and it flashed away but reappeared about 10 meters away, I went to turn but it called to me urging me forward. I followed it and before it could flash away I grabbed hold of its antler. We ended up in a meadow but it was really quiet. The stag simply looked at me and nodded before flashing away. I come across this stag a lot in dreams and meditation and it always seems to be leading me away from something that’s behind me but I don’t know what. Would you know what it’s trying to protect me from?

I was on a mountain in Colorado and I encountered a Mama deer with her 2 fawns . I really want to know whay does this mean spirituality she saw me from a distance and then they left .

I was doing a guided meditation for finding you spirit guide... eventually I was in a forest and a squirrel was running around me and an owl was sitting in a tree.. but then a deer was slowly approaching me and I felt so safe. I told her I found her and I asked for her name... her name is Saala.

I had a dream a few years ago...several people (apparently boys) were throwing stones at a deer, color of it was like dark red. The deer came to me as shelter, and I thought it is my mother!!! Male and female deer appeared to me three times in three days, and I knew it had meaning. I'm having the hardest time standing up for myself after a traumatic breakup with a covert narcissist. I've been wronged and I need to communicate this to him somehow, but day after day, I get too overwhelmed because of how much there is to say and how many wrongs there are to right. My deer mind can't decide what to say and how to say it, if I should be gentle or forceful, or how much blame he deserves. Today, I went into a total freeze state. I wonder if Deer is coming to me to help me with its medicine, or to warn me of its shadow, or both. I can call out a deer minutes before I see it it's happened at least 4-5times my friends think it's crazy but I feel them. it's normally only females I feel but even traveling in Wyoming I seen 3doe before getting back onto the interstate. I brought myself here looking to find some possible answers about a paranormal experience that I had. Not too long ago I was woke up by my stereo playing this new album I bought, (self titled album from the Canadian neofolk band, Ulvesang) this album was fairly new to me at the time. Anyway, I jump up out of bed and turn it down before it bothered someone because it was late and very loud. I don't have a remote for it so I had to get up and walk over to it. I didn't think much of it because I figured I must have left my stereo on and then fell asleep. My stereo does have a problem with turning up by itself because it's old and wore out, so I kind of said, "ok nothing too wierd" until... As I was turning it down I noticed there was no power on in the entire house and the stereo was playing by itself, powerless!! I very clearly heard the decible of volume decrease as well but no lights on the face of the stereo no power just the loud sound of this albums beautiful acoustics from it's speakers. I was blown away at this point of this strange occurrence and very confused. It was storming very hard that night so I walked to the window of my room, mind boggled from this confusing event, to stare at the rain and collect my thoughts about wth I just experienced. So after about 20 minutes of gazing outside at the rain, collecting myself and thinking. I finally calm down enough and started to get sleepy again, so I walk back to my bedside then POW!!!! A lightning bolt strikes very close to my house. It was so close and loud it about scared me to death!! By this time i'm fully awake again. My heart is pounding, i about jumped out of my skin Lol. It wasn't thundering or lightning either, just a deluge of rain, so you can imagine how startling this rogue lightning bolt was, especially after the stereo scene. Seconds after the lightning bolt struck, I hear the sound of a deer blowing. (Kind of like the sound of blowing a clogged nose when you're sick, "congestive type sound".) Idk... maybe a bad description, but not sure if (blowing) is the right word that is used to describe this type of sound that deer make. Anyway, I go back to the window that I was literally just staring out of to take a look. And there was a huge buck standing a couple feet from my window scratching himself on my chainlink fence, I was just at the window full view of the back yard, where did it come from!!?? I am no deer expert but you would think the gun shy animal would have bolted from the intensely close lightning strike, not enjoying a good scratch on my fence in the pouring rain lol. It was almost like the animal was manifested by the lightning itself. I watched him for a while, then he slowly made his way off into the woods. The next morning I ask my family if they heard my stereo last night, they told me yes only momentarily. I also asked if they heard the lightning bolt like 10 or 20 minutes after my stereo and they said no. If they heard my stereo surely they would have heard this bolt of lightning moments later, it was louder than my stereo! Not sure if this means anything but I am Gemini, Gemini rising with several other planets in this sign and I think i have read somewhere that deer is the gemini's Native American zodiological totem animal. Is this my spirit animal protecting me from a malevolent poltergiestic type entity messing with my stereo or what do y'all think? I would love to know your thoughts on this! I cant stop reeling what happened in my head. Thanks

I just saw a black whitetail buck. Came into the yard and looked thru the window right at me. I see deer all the time but not all black and a massive buck. If you have strong deer energy you actually might be a lamb or a child of the most high God. I was called a deer, cat, horse and mouse but mostly a cat and deer all the while being called a Christian before I was one. This is why God says we need a shepherd, but the truth is anyone can be a child of God.
