AH! Home sweet Home. I have Hauled lots of Oil field Rig Iron in that Country in the 70's, Big Ugly Trucks LOL. Mostly with Autocars. Winters can be brutal you haven't seen Anything yet for a Wyoming Snow storm. I Was raised a ranch between Gilette and Douglas WY. Have fun My friend LOL!
Just watch the jake brake when it’s slick. Plowing snow is a kick when there’s enough to make it interesting. Running a big rotary in big snow is the top, but it is hypnotic to watch snow curl off a big plow at night.
Hello sir I watch your videos all the time.it’s nice hearing from a professional instead of people who have no clue.I was a boat captain for 26 years and made sure my boats were always in perfect condition like you.I live in st Augustine and was on 95 one day and spotted the orange truck.anyway sir keep up the great work merry Christmas to you and your family and I don’t like sleeping joe either
From Fairbanks, Alaska USA Taikuu for the highway footage... I'm retired now, but "when I wore a younger man clothes" and starting out driving. I never went to a driving school; and I was always scared of the winter roads. Then I went to work for a fellow in Colorado and he had something he taught to all his driver's. POWER BREAKING, this changed my life. The object was to always keep your foot on the throttle, then you can control your speed by applying a little brake. This way you will always be pulling your trailer, which will keep it from trying to pass you. So if you're going down a grade, keep on the throttle and add a little brake and with a little practice you can - 1- hold your speed or - 2- slow yourself down, but always pulling, never let off the throttle, it should always be over powering the drive tires. It's great for coming to a stop light or whatever, even in an emergency, just ALWAYS keep pulling, NOT to much so you spin your drivers, and not to much brake to slide your tandems. WARNING: THIS ONLY WORKS WITH TRACTOR-TRAILERS, not a straight truck or a bobtail. It works awesome with front wheel drive Auto's and four wheel drive vehicles. NOT REAR WHEEL DRIVE, UNLESS PULLING A TRAILER WITH BRAKES! Practice it a few times and get the feel of how it works with your vehicle, you can do it on a dry road too. I've taught my daughter's and have told it to many others. I'm not a know it all, but someone told me and I'm just sharing. God Bless, and Happy Trails.
You sir are a true professional, awesome videos. Greetings from San Diego California from a little 5 axle lowbed driver in training. Its 16 tire for me out here 20k front and 46k drives.
FUCK THAT WEATHER lol. I know You Drive Truck and sometimes You have to drive in Shit like that plus You are a DAMN Good Driver and your Thee MAN. Spent 40 yrs living in Michigan know the weather well. That's why I too Now Live in Florida also Becareful Driving on the roads take care Brother Enjoy your Trip...
Thanks for letting us ride along in Wyoming, I kinda liked driving thru there. Little traffic and good hi ways. Sounds like ur hauling pipeline equipment which they are building. Keep us posted as it sounds like u have a few trips to haul. By the way happy trucking holidays to u.
Thank you for the video , I guess your Truck will need a good wash when make it back East , when I use to loads out west this time of year Wyoming was one of the States had to put on chains , so hated it , but you got to make that paper , be safe .
You would have a blast plowing snow I did it for 3 years in Pennsylvania on I-80 it was fun as hell but also could be very frustrating and your right doesn't pay that good
Mitch, when you were stuck in Champlain NY you should have gotten job with NY dot to plow snow from Oct to May. Then spend the summer on Lake Champlain fishing from your Bass Boat. Cattle and wild life will hide in a stand of softwood trees, which break the wind and the snow is not as deep.
I'm a snow plow driver in the UK it's a great job when there nobody on the road causing mayhem it's not a well paid job like everyone thinks the insurance is really high beats sitting at home cos you can't get anywhere great videos keep up the good work take care 😁
Hey Mitch !! Thanks for the video as brings back times when I was out there doing the ICE ROADS in NEW ENGLAND getting "taters" from the French Canucks farmers !in New Brunswick, CANADA !! HAHA Have a good week & Thanks for the updates on your future loads as going to keep you busy for a while !!
Good 'old northeast Wyoming weather. Looked like you started the video just west of Sundance, Wyoming. I live in Gillette, terrible winter weather for those of us who work outside, it is more "wind cold", I have seen it down to -60 windchill in wintertime.
Do you slide less because of your truck and loads weight or is it worse? When I was young and living in New Mexico my dad would add weight to the back of the truck to improve control. I would still love to ride with you for a week, but it can never happen.
Great Driving video . I am glad you have plenty of work lined up to stay busy . Even the animals are in hiding from the cold . 😂 . I guess you have to haul some of that Off Brand stuff every now and then . Stay safe Brother . Let's go Brandon !! 🇺🇸
If you can drive in it without screwing up, makes no difference where you're from, means you're a professional. Wyoming doesn't have the amount of idiot drivers as Chicago, so you can run in the snow with an oversize load.
Driving in the snow doesn’t bother me too much as long as there aren’t too many idiots on the road 140000 pounds might have me thinking otherwise though
Animals are born in this kind of weather there use to it just like dogs and cats only last 25 or so years have people think it's cruel for them out in it just like in my home town you can't have a dog tied up all the hunters been raising hell about this crazy law so guess you just let your coon dogs loose to run free. animals get took care of better then people like was brought up what about homeless where do they go to get in out of cold and hot weather. peta stands for people eating tasty animals to me .as far as plow drivers it don't pay the greatest and there's a lot of setting and waiting which if you can sleep setting up you better because when it breaks loose you don't get any rest . just go buy you some long johns and wrap up good while your loading and unloading so you don't freeze watch for wind burn or frost bite on your face . video what you can I no it's hard in this windy cold weather but when you can for us to watch stay safe and warm
Does he really think razor blades are made out there? WOW Gillette razor blades are made in Boston, MA. which is where their Corp office is located. It is also ILLEGAL in many States to run with your flashers/4 ways on. Wyoming LAW states you can ONLY use your flashers (while moving) is during a Funeral procession. Look it up.
No, I didn't think they were really made in WY, it's just random thoughts.. As for the flashers, being oversize I can use them anytime I am not maintaining the speed limit. I hope to never go back to Boston.
