14 years and I keep coming back to this poetry

I fall in love with him every single time I watch a video. A true wordsmith.

I always end up coming back too all of his videos AT LEAST once a year.I can never get enough tbh

I don't think that I will ever get tired of hearing Kite.

DefPoetry made me feel things as a teenager, it taught me the power of words in a message. Songs did too but the variety and depth of what could be said on that stage, with their voices alone, brought me to write for myself. I learned from beautiful wordsmith story tellers like Rives. Thank you.

I was already loving his work when I found it on the TED site, now I'm madly in love.

My weird mind wanders and my brave heart breaks. I've nailed some milestones, but I make mistakes, cause I got more faults than a map of California earthquakes. I am taking a nap beneath your covers. Wake me if you like me. Wake me if you want me. Wake me if you want another poem. Your once and future lover has made himself at home.

this is the very 1st piece i heard from rives (when this episode aired), and by the end of this poem i'd fallen very deeply in like/lust with this man ;-)...my goodness, his way with words is hypnotizing.
