Current month with system time will not always work coz our dashboard will be updated only after couple days after month end.. need an option to set latest month available in fact table

Could you explain how to calculate the months since current month column?

I use a similar approach, but order it where it belongs (always use month number)

Hi Wyn, A brilliant solution - thank for sharing. However, I have a slightly different need: I wanted to show only the last 12 complete months in the slicer and the slicer should default to the latest complete month. For example, as we are in Apr 2023 I want to have a list of Apr 2022 - Mar 2023 in the slicer and it defaults to Mar 2023. I also wanted users to be able to select any of the last 12 complete 12 months to filter across all the visuals/pages. When we are in May 2023, wanted to default everything to Apr 2023 and the list should be from May 2022 to Apr 2023. I'm relatively new to Power BI, I had posted this requirement on the Power BI community and I've been told that Power BI doesn't support it. Thank heaps for any advice?
