Defeating Final Bosses: Pure Vessel & Absolute Radiance (End-Game Cinematic Included)

I cant describe how nice it is to see someone who isnt like a crazy pro beat these two, makes me feel like I can do it too :D

Pro tip: abyss shriek does massive damage and is very useful for this fight during the parts where radiance likes to stand still. For pure vessel desolate dark is very useful for the short bit of immunity it gives you

Absolute Radiance is one of the few game bosses I’m actually too scared to fight. Not for how it looks, but because of my tremendous fear of failure. To have done a half hour, insanely difficult boss rush only to lose to the boss at the very end would be too heartbreaking for someone like me. It’s incredibly fun to watch someone else do it though! 😅

congratulations !!! this phanteon is ridiculously hard, that damn markoth has killed me 2 times , grey prince zote another 6, nightmare king grimm 4 and pure vessel one time, but i still can't get to the final boss absolute radiance :( , but i think markoth and grey prince zote are the most annoying bosses i've ever faced, i f.u.c.k.i.n.g hate them

Finally managed to beat this challenge (took me 24 tries ) !!! It's so satisfying!!! Now i'm gonna try to beat the speedruns

The pure vessel is a enemy in hollow knight that can be found in the 4rth and 5th pantheon in the game. To acces pantheons you must obtain 2/1 simple keys, depending On which way to the royal waterways you used. You have to go to the bench, and use descending dark/desolate dive on the shaking part after going down from the bench on the left. After that you will be in another room. You have to break 1 secret Wall on the top left. Then go through the room with giant flukes by dashing, killing them, or using desolate dive to give you invincibility frames, then going through the junk pit and using a simple key. After that dream nail the thing inside the coffin that is supposedly "dead". You will be in a room that has a entire series of bosses, where you can re-fight them. To get to the 4rth pantheon you must beat all the 3 pantheons and get the bosses needed for the 4rth one. The final boss of the 4rth pantheon is the "pure vessel". The pure vessel is the harder version of the hollow knight, and has 7 attacks. 1- a entire burst of nails, where you can shade dash through them to take no damage. Sharp Shadow helps with this 2- he slashes his nail 3 times. To dodge this you can either parry his slash twice or one OR you can shade dash through. It's a difficult attack 3- he dashes at you with his sword to try and get you. You can jump over this attack fr fr 4- he will jump on the player and slash the sword through the ground. This causes a burst of comically large nails to pop up theough the ground. It is reccommended to double jump as the higher you are, the smaller the nail is. 5- he raises up his sword to trick you into parrying, and them slashes rapidly at you. This can be dodged using shade dash only. 6- he charges up a huge circle that can hurt you if you are inside it's range. After that small circles will pop up to try and trick you 7- he will charge an attack where he uses tentacles to get you. This has extremely long range and should be jumped over after 1 second. Now the absolute radiance is ONLY in the pantheon five (pantheon of hallownest) and is the hardest boss in the game. This fight is a extremely buffeed radiance that has a little bit more health, sped up attacks, a new phase, more attacks (Like 2 giant swords from her instead of 1). This radiance has 8 attacks. 1- she'll summon a light beam from her face 3 times in all directions. One of them is random, 2nd one is 45 degrees (or 90 idk) from the first attack, and the 3rd one is the same direction the first one was at, similar to GORB THE GREAT MIND!!! 2- She summons 2 packs of swords from her face (again) which give you some reaction time. This attack is somewhat difficult on the 3rd phase (the one where there is a bunch of platforms) beacuse if you are on top of her and she does that attack, it is almost guaranteed for you to get hit, which is why you can use descending dark to save yourself from that deadly attack 3- she summons a rain of the swords from the 2nd attack, all going in a mixed direction, which should make you focus about the Rain of swords rather than hitting her. 4- a beam of light spawns, where it is unavoidable without invincibility frames, so just use descending dark or shade dash to avoid it. 5- she summons 3/4 fireballs which are homing (follow the player) to try and kill you. They can get destroyed if they hit the floor. 6- the same spikes from attack 3 and 2 appear but sideways, moving towards you like attack 4. I reccommend double jumping and if you don't have enough time to use descending dark, you can shade dash through them BARELY so br careful eith the timing. 7- a floor of spikes appears and cover half of the floor. You can use descending dark or desolate dive to go through them, and set them back to the ground. 8- she goes all the way up on the last phase, shooting bursts of rays that get more accurate the higher you are. On the 2nd phaee, she spams the sword rain attack (attack number 3) and has spikes on the corners of the floor. This phase has only 10 pure nail hits so it's very easy. On 3rd phase, the radiance has a bunch of platforms, and makes you have to clinb the platform to hit her, or to double jump and use abbyss shriek (Yes, it can hit through walls) to deal alot of damage (160 with shaman stone) On the last phase, she uses attack 8 to try and kill you, ao you should double jump to the right/left, then dash on the next platform beacuse the radiance will try to attack you when you are very far away from the platform, meaning you can safely go to the next one. The attack 8 in this fight is much harder than attack 8 in normal radiance. After climbind all the way up, the radiance will stick to attack 5, however you can "pogo" the radiance on this phase to easily defeat the last phase (she teleports so make sure you haven't used your dash and wings yet after "pogoing" her) The reason why you wanna pogo the radiance is cause the fireballs can go off the screen, which deletes them (Like if they go off screen they are gone) so if you do this the entire time, you can easily beat absrad.

absolute radiance is easier than i imagined, but still, under no circumstances is she easy--

Nice!, however I realized that you don’t use your shade cloak to dodge attacks very often. If you want to get better I suggest trying to use it more. Also, you should use spells more often especially when you have a moment and you are too far to hit with your nail, and remember if you are in a sticky spot, use desolate dive/descending dark to gain invincibility while still dealing a decent amount of damage.

Anyone else get the feeling that we are playing as the "Evil" of the hollow knight world? That our victory is the world's end?

I know this video is like 2 years old but right now I have to say that after reading the description.. I can relate to pausing like that a LOT. When I first got to the staircase part in just normal radiance for the first time I started climbing and then paused because I had never really put any effort into radiance ever before so I counted it as a first try so I was really worried about the climb so I paused after getting up a bit to drink some water or else I would've just jumped into a beam almost instantly- I bet I made this way to long of a comment didn't I- Edit: also something I also can understand is that of course you were fighting both pure vessel and absolute radiance in the pantheon of hollownest (it's either hallownest or hollownest) and if you had died you would've had to start from the beginning of p5 (p5 meaning pantheon 5 also pantheon of hollownest) and p5 is HARD. I cant even beat p3 yet

I used Steady Body, Shape of Unn, Deep + Quick Focus, and Nailmaster's Glory to fight and finish Absolute Radiance in P5, but first try I won? Is my charm setup meta? No, but that's how I roll.

Now I know you have to complete the game in order to play steel soul
