We need that kind of training response to fire and injury in schools and in industries where fire is more likely to happen.We need many more fire stations in the country.

Now i can see why JASIRI was delivered without any weapons from Spain...They installed old guns from storage...or decommissioned vessels of the kenya navy..
I wish in the near future our government buy a real warship even if it's decommissioned from the west. We need at least a frigate with some blue ocean capabilities, better radars, air defense, missile tubes. As a country, we should at least own a submarine for training
Even the Israel Navy doesn't operate any frigate despite the high threat level in that part of the world, why would we spend a lot of money on equipment that will lie idle?
I need that job now in my old age back in 1983 when I was in my teen's during the recruitment one of the recruiting officer suggested to my mother that,I could qualify in the recruitment but my mother could here none of it during those days people had negative opinions on military jobs, people then believed that military guys are drug addicts drunk and losers violent characters
Good job...but Kenya Navy to be competent in world class military power they should get at least a diesel electric sub marine...I know nuclear powered sub marines is still out in question for Kenya
Lol, I never knew Kenya Navy still used manual navigating charts... Am used to the ECDIS (Electronic Chart Display System)... But yeah, I can Navigate their vessels with ease, any time of the day lol
kenya navy should acquire a at least a diesel-electric submarine, if two of those diesel-electric, and a Aircraft Carrier, i know we can acquire such Modern War Ships
inquiring a train almost bankrupt the nation you think they can afford a submarine or aircraft carrier? the best shot we have is reviving our ship yards and then tasking our kdf engineers with constructing the vessels from smaller to bigger as they gain experience .
These are sufficient for our defense needs. We don't need missile boats when the monies can be better spent elsewhere. We are not fighting India, Egypt or China and the US... Our Navy is more like the American Coast Guard. I believe only a more capable and hostile Somali State would spur us to invest in more lethal naval weapon systems
Good sailors but under equiped...Kenya navy operates a off shore patrol boats in the name of warships the current warships are sitting ducks compared to what other nations are fielding in there navies ...one properly places harpoon AshM sinks KNS Jasiri...these are coast guard ships in other countries...Kenya as a regional power house should at least have modern guided missile frigates equipped with anti ship missiles, proper Closed In Weapons Systems (CIWS) and VLS anti aircraft missiles or the Rolling Airframe Missiles system.
Is this a brown water navy,green water navy or blue water navy? What are the range capabilities of the Kenya Navy whilst all these media propaganda and hype?
Kenya navy should promote domestically made ships and their local shipbuilders. I believe african people are great with their ingenuity. The Philippines Navy however, promotes their local shipbuilders and buys foreign made ships like those from france, south korea and refurbished ships from U.S. at low cost.
As a navy kid I would say Jasiri is perfect for our Defense needs currently Technologically more advanced than shupavu/shujaa Anti aircraft guns,57MM shells,...look at our neighbors capabilities,Somalia/Tz That SBU unit with a RHIB is enough to overun Victorian coast of Uganda 😛 All way south It's only South Africa perhaps that could run over us,which is 0.000000000001 chance of happening. We need more Rhibs than ships,each masura with its own atleast
