DEFENCE- Tick Tock 

This video aims to teach players how to intercept.
1. Players form groups of three.
2. Two players pass the ball back and forth at a slow pace.
3. While passing, players say "Tick, Tock" (like a clock). This allows the defender to find rhythm and timing the pass.
4. The defender waits and reads the intercept. The drill then resets and the defender practises intercepting from both sides. Complete 4 intercepts. Rotate players.
PROGRESSION: The defender starts further back from the passers (approx 1m), this encourages the defence to be further challenged. The passers can also speed up the passing.
PROGRESSION 2: A further advancement of the drill is to add the 'figure 8' runs. This makes the defender work harder to try and intercept two passes. It also quickens the speed of the defence and their footwork around the players.
