Accident or not, he had no business going to meet him. Davis was just a guy who met a gal. Mr. Ackerman just couldn't face the fact that his wife didn't want anything to do with him. So she should be deprived of any future relationship she may enter into in the future?? That's why we have custody orders to insure that the children are protected. I really don't think the children should be subjected to the situation "Bud" has now put them in. (so, I hear your daddy ran over your Mommy's boyfriend)🤨. I think jealousy is creepy trait. I think he originally wanted Davis to come to his home so if he shot him he could claim self defense and get away with it. If you were "in fear for your life"...why didn't you have this "meeting" at 12:00 noon at a busy restaurant, crowded with customers and close to the Police Department? Bud appears to be extremely meek. All bark & no bite kind of guy. I don’t think he intentionally struck Davis. Davis was out of his car with his shirt off(still don’t understand why other than to bait Bud). I do think Bud is guilty of not rendering aid. I believe he was panicked/in shock/not in his right mind but he had a duty to get help. What a terrible situation. A man lost his life over nothing & another man is going to jail for a long time. This all could have easily been avoided.
