Defender Puma rear door 'soft open' gas strut fit (Stainless) purchased from Mud-UK (Nakatanenga) 

Defender quirks i guess but no harm to trim a little off the door card?

Mine does the same it must be a design fault.

yes i thought that - i had the non soft finish strut on a 300tdi that went past 90 degrees. its mostly the door not shutting on me when on slopes that i appreciate this for.

@@charliefourzero Thanks very much for posting the installation video. I have a couple of Ifor trailers I tow with my Defender, and the door often hits the trailer jockey wheel assembly if the wheel is raised. I was therefore keen to see the strut in operation, to see how quickly the door opened - I didn't want the door smashing into the jockey wheel assembly! I've got one question related to how far the door opens. Although the gas strut seems to open the door to about 75 degrees, can you still push the door open to the 90 degree point? Or does the strut limit the maximum opening to about 75 degrees?
