For business strategy when is it better to hold a card for a higher price with best offer vs auctioning it immediately after grading with the possibility of losing a large amount with the randomness of auctions if you had low followers unlike your current massive folowing? How do you price out your auctions?

I think that is the best sentence I have heard on any RU-vid video EVER! Somewhere in history humanity lost their ability to trust in themselves. Even if it’s the greatest idea or thought in the world, people seem to need to be validated by others. I personally think that no one should ever idolize another human being. I don’t think that anyone should look for validation from others for any reason. So that was awesome to hear. Keep up the great job at making videos.

Yeah, I’ve backed off myself to about one cigar every other day or so. There’s enough around here to keep me busy. Great answers on the questions and as usual some pretty funny answers. You’re right about watching a game instead of looking at box scores. I could see Brandon Marsh was a pretty good player but when I watched a game I saw that Marsh is hard to get out at the plate. He hangs in there like a hair baked into a biscuit. Thanks for another great Q and A video!

What do you think of this business idea? You, SCV, grade cards on a 1-100 scale (borrowing from the old SGC holders) and sell the cards raw with your grading score in the title on eBay. This model has been very successful for sellers like Greg Morris Cards. Wishing you well on your future endeavors.

You do what you do well, and I'm no authority, but I wouldn't change it until you figure out a goal, in cards, as well as life. Do you have a goal? If so, and it's not within the realm of selling sports cards, then you may need to educate, and better yourself in whatever area that is. I have faith that you'll do well in whatever it is that you want to do. It may be a little work at first, but I think you've proven, at least with sportscards, that you're willing to put the work in, and make yourself better. I absolutely respect that! Good video!

lol tx for being your first q. I feel honored. Some next Qs. What did you think about the draft especially 6 of 12 picks being QBs. I’m sure beakers busted nut. What u think about whole Kurt kit and deactivations I know you hate molesting but do you see huge shifts in industry and maybe lawsuits. I actually think gems are going down cause there’s so many. I wish it was like 3% gem rates for cards so they would be more unique. When I hear RU-vid guys get 80% gem rates I’m like mmm yuck. Nfl should be profitable this year though if cards come out since repackers now going crazy some buy tables for 100% comps. But time will tell. Nobody wants Pickett Ridder Howell cards and those were thousands last year 😅😅😅

Superstars sports in Winnipeg Canada just closed its doors after 34 years in business. In fact today was their last day. I think it’s the beginning of the end for the vast majority of hobby shops. Even reputable ones.

I think most of the players will be bust saw a lot of people just on their phones right as they got drafted not looking interested and some had lame draft parties. Im gonna invest into bryon murphy because everything in that draft party and reaction was what I wanted as a seattle seahawks fan.

You buy, slab and sell which is a good strategy so you never get left holding the bag on a Mack Jones and bring in consistent profits. But made money on Mack Jones when there was hype. Do you have examples of some cards where you bought and sold a card and collected a profit let’s say for 500 bucks and now it’s worth 10k and the other side where you bought and sold for 3k and now it’s worth 100 bucks. I think that would make good topic. Everybody is looking for that next Brady, Jordan , curry in their rookie year and then keep it for 20 years and sell it for 500k, but that is the 0000001 percent of cards.

@@BostonSportsFan33 why don’t you just tell me. I’m talking about the few card he bought slabbed and sold for 500 and it’s 20k now. And card he bought for 10 k sold for 12 k and now it’s worth 100 buck. The Trevor Lawrence value hasn’t dipped to 100 bucks and the grading by PSA hurt the value.

I do youtube as well, at your number of subscribers its not much. I know people who do youtube full time who helped me grow and learn. Pretty much you need to get over 5K subs but the more the better. Then you will get the sponsorships which turn more cash on top of the youtube revenue. I do gaming so I get to go on twitch as well which is more income and record stuff sometimes on there and put it on youtube cutting down my work. For how long you have done this you are off to a very good start and if you keep doing it I can see you growing into some very big numbers. I personally want to abandon it but thats due to issues with the "Community" I make vids for.

@@SCVSportsCardsI don’t think there is any easy business as far as making money there is always risk involved, learning what works, what people want, etc. Cards is just a limited supply you have to do something as you say add value grade, break, etc otherwise it’s a lot of speculation and holding long term like a stock just its pictures of men in sporting competitions that you have no influence or control over
