This historical documentary series was filmed some time ago!
The tunnels today are now locked and are not accessible to the public!
We are within the fortifications of the medway lines of Chatham in kent. These were built in the Napoleonic wars heres more

That large block of cement in the doorway might be to limit the amount of troops charging the door, creates a funnel to allow the defenders to kill the attackers.

Great lines used to play in thes as kids , that concrete wasn't there when we was younger them tunnels stretched for miles , but looks like most of it's been bricked off

Just a thought: could that concrete block that you wondered if it was an anti tank defence, could it have been for trucks to back up to so they could load / unload as the other side of it was an angled approach?

I know this place their is hinges on the wall where the anti tank block.As you stand outside and look at the block the hinges are on the righthand side and I believe it was for a door.

Those high arched ceilings would have been nice if someone were stationed there for a while! Avoiding those claustrophobic feelings would really help morale!

It's from the Napoleonic wars era, according to description. Seems like there's been some modifications over the years though, like what he assumed was a tank blockade from WW2 (I think he's probably right - to stop vehicles moving through).

It's illegal to wear a countries BDU especially when you are not in service even for that country. Highly recommend you dress like a regular civilian or reserve member before you get in trouble with your government, they don't take stolen valor lightly, Walt, especially not Germany.

Sparks Nation That is not relevant... Any regular civilian wouldn't typically be able to identify whether or not it was fake. One way or another if someone is wearing a countries flag on their shoulder with a rank anywhere on the jacket, is giving off an intentionally false implication.
