Just in my feels for a moment: Imagine being Lucifer for a minute... for 10,000 years you are made to run a place you accidentally created and is essentially your prison, and every time you look outside there are people hurting each other and themselves with the gift you gave them, and every day, every new sinner, every bad thing that happens is a reminder of how badly you fucked up the world..... You try to fix it and it doesn't work, heaven throws it back in your face and stomps on your hopes the way they stomped on your dreams centuries before. They suggested long ago, that you being different was essentially a problem. They banned you from creating, which was your whole PURPOSE. Your entire family kicked you out of the house and let you burn in a desolate pit, because you made a connection with a human being and gifted them with choices. Free will. Imagine thinking a living thing should be free to make its own choices and become its own person in life and being told you're WRONG for that. You didn't MEAN to unleash evil unto the world, it was a mistake you didn't foresee. But an honest mistake nonetheless. Now you're dissociating, depressed, stressed, you don't want to be a burden, you think everything is your fault, so you start to distance yourself, you lock yourself up to try to ignore your fucked up reality and hyperfocus on one useless project or another just to CREATE something again and you hate all of it. You have no idea how much time has passed, your memory is garbage because your mind wanders. Your sanity is kind of fraying at this point. Now you have an estranged relationship with your daughter, who you LOVE more than anything in the world. And your wife just disappeared. You've been beaten down relentlessly by people who were supposed to be your family, since the beginning of time and you're tired. You've lost all faith in what humans are capable of because you were never allowed to see the GOOD that they do. On top of being sad, you're jaded. And now you're terrified because your daughter is exactly like you. And all the people who hurt you and dimmed your light might do the same to her. So you try to ignore the subject, play dumb, maybe she'll let go of the idea and she'll be safe. This man has been going THROUGH it. Fitting that he's a performer and knows how to work through his mask. The saddest people often have such vibrant personalities and humour.
Mimzy is one of those Viv characters that's been in several pieces of her art, so people got attached to her. Which is why I feel the "Took a while, but I'm present at last!" is a joke regarding that fact. I think she was originally meant to be an old love of Al's, but with him being aro-ace, obviously, that's changed. In the Pilot she's a cameo during Charlie's song.
Thanks for explanation. One more I ask of you: what does aro-ace mean? Is it a LGBT term? Sorry I am not familiar with all of them. If I can guess, Alastor seems asexual in the sense of having no sexual desires at all. Is it connected?
@@JediLordWong It is. Aro-Ace means aromantic-asexual, meaning Alastor is not interested in romantic relationships, as well as intercourse. It's a spectrum, of course, so, some people might have very little of those feelings, rather than not having them at all. But in the case Alastor, I'm pretty sure he's not interested in either, period.

Mimzy is played by Sarah Styles aka Spinel from Steven Universe The Movie, and Mimzy was an old character that was supposed to be in the main cast, and old lore she was Alastors old flame but thats non canon!
(I wrote this before you pointed out the motif, so ignore if you want XD) About the circus ringtone~ In this universe the whole concept of hell is designed like a 7 ring circus. You'll notice there's a lot of circus decor in the hotel and around anything that belongs to Lucifer or Charlie. Each ring of hell is run by one of the Deadly Sins and is based off of a different circus act. The top ring is Lucifer's domain as the sin of Pride as well as King. He's essentially the circus Ringmaster which is why he's kind of dressed like one. He runs the show. Charlie inherited his showmanship and flare. Her ringtone is also old show music ;) It's all by design~ And the official power tiers go as followed: 1-Lucifer 2-Charlie & Lilith 3- The Sins 4- The Goatia 5- The Overlords (Like alastor) 6- Sinners 7- The hellborn
If you fundamentally disagree with the principle of Charlie's hotel you think that humans are intrinsically either good or bad with no influence from outside circumstance, that morality is a black and white thing and that people cannot change. Hell is full of people who got screwed over majorly and in turn, end up screwing other people over. They're not all heartless monsters but they are still sinners and what we would consider "bad people" You think Angel deserves to be in hell? What about Lucifer himself? He was cast down as punishment for "bad behaviour"
Satan is like Mammon and Asmodeus a sin and the ruler of the ring of wrath. But Luzifer is the Nummber 1 in hell then Lilith and Charlie Then the other sins
