If we remember from episode 1, Lucifer was cast into Hell and never saw the good that came from his act of gifting humanity knowledge and free-will, and only got to see the bad that came from it. This caused him to lose his will to dream, and even likely caused him to regret gifting Eve the Apple of knowledge. He actually seems to be a good person who made a mistake, and was never allowed to see the good he had done. Causing him to fall to depression. I like this version of Lucifer, because he's not presented as entirely evil, or that he's entirely innocent and that Heaven is ACTUALLY the BBEG... No, he's a good person who made and regretted making a mistake, and wants to take it back, because he never saw the good in the mistake.

I wonder if Lilith owns Alastor's soul. Since Charlie said she's hasn't seen her in 7 years, Alastor has been gone for 7 years and has some beef with Lucy.

That's definitely a running theory, but I personally feel like it's too obvious. It'd be cool if that was the case, though xD

I dunno because of the circumstances he appeared in Hell, being all powerful. That makes it seem like he have made a deal at or before his death with a Demon already, owning his soul to them... and not 7 years ago.

@@PitifulAlloy7 I guess it still could have been Lilith tho, all those years ago, Alastor fulfilling some part of the deal during those 7 years, still bound by it after..I cannot tell, because the rules in this canon are still vague. There are settings where very powerful demons can only get to Earth by very powerful magic and rituals, that are kept in secret...so I dunno how simple or not it would have been for Alastor to summon Lilith to make a deal with her, or how easy or not it is for Lilith to appear on Earth
