I'm about 45 days into my latest stalker run, and I've already been to Coastal Highway. Looks like I'll be heading back because I didn't know this was a thing! Thanks for the vid
Very useful info. I had to learn about beachcoming by trial and error as there was no guide like this to give me the basics. My first time to Coastal Highway, I was afraid to go out on any part of the ice as I was scared of running into weak ice, especially after my run-ins with it in the Muskeg. It took me a while to figure out that most of that ice shelf is safe, except for bands of weak ice along the edge of the shelf and the sea.
I have before, though that was some time ago. They may have changed that in an update but there's been no mention of it. I've also done precious little beachcombing in recent times so I don't have fresh info on that either. I do know it was possible before.
=O =O I didn't know those were actually items you could get!!! I routinely would see stuff there but it always seemed like it was impossible to get there, so I assumed that they were actually rocks and not items and that it was just a thing they put at the edge of the ice.... will have to try... though I might have to load up my non-interloper run to try =D
I only think so if you're overweight, but I haven't done too much testing on the subject. The reasoning for being lightweight is that if you're at or below the weight limit, you don't have a movement speed penalty. As you go over the weight limit, you begin to encounter a movement speed penalty.
You should be able to use the decorative hockey sticks to hook your item and fling it to you so you spend less time on weak ice. And if you were good enough, you hit one intem into another, flinging them onto hard ice. You should also be able to crawl on weak ice to spread out your weight and be able to drop your backpack.
Thr best way to do this is always carry around a few peices of coal because sometimes the ambient temperature is so low that your wet clothes cause you to freeze even near a fire, if your outside temperature is -20 you need a fire of atleast 100 degrees which requires coal
Game certainly isn't dead mate! Still getting regular updates, and has a pretty active player base! But it is indeed a great game, and I can't wait to see how much further the team at Hinterland takes it!
Lonelywolf look up the long dark and look how many uploads was from this week and the ones that are in this week are in Russian and have very low views and the besides that it’s just game updates from hinterland.
@@Lonelywolfofficial might be better than freezin you noogies off yeah! Watched a cut the other day where a guy had tons of meat out on de lake...stripped off everything but his drawers and boots had a fire in de fishing shack....went and got the kill and hauled it back across the ice...dropped it at the shack door and suited up and got warm😂
