I forget things all the time so Ive started setting an alarm on my phone to remind me. You can even set it to ring every half hour if you need to be reminded during an event , such as boiling sap. You lead a busy life don’t worry about the little things. You’re a super mom!

Yes, it stinks and you feel terrible, but it's a learning experience that happens to the best of us. Super cool idea dehydrating lasagna for camping meals. It looked delicious! You’re an incredible parent please don’t be so hard on yourself. Yeah it’s a lot of effort they got burnt but if you’re gonna drop the ball somewhere, will it be something that’s not gonna harm anybody and that harms no one but you. Now I’ll have somebody to try to do multiple things throughout the day I use a timer system to set up my iPad with pacific things to go check on certain periods, so maybe in the maple syrup process that you check on with every two hours so set it set a timer when you’re doing that and stop and go check that we all have down days don’t want to find you orlose your thunder when it comes to doing more and more projects love watching your series makes me happy. Love your patience. I wish I had one 10th of your patients. Keep making contact.

I am going to add my kudos to you here because you are amazing! Your ability to "feel" through those emotions and then get on with things is what is the difference between success and disaster. And you know what, even if it was your job, shit happens. No one is perfect and you deal with what you are handed. And your wood chopping skills are #1! Oh, and your camera capture and editing abilities make your videos a joy to watch. I don't know if it was on the job training, but you could teach a course in editing. The fact that you don't linger too long on any one thing, show us the beginning, some middle and end, keeps viewers watching. But you do need a "me" day in there somewhere! ;)

“A poon I said!” 😂 Love how vocal Hudson is even though my own little 3yo chatterbox drives me up the wall. The burnt sap piqued my son’s curiosity so we had a mini lesson maple syrup production so maybe not a total waste afterall!

Well I am sorry to see the sap got burnt but at the same time I am glad I am not the only one!! I was cooking sap all day and am pushing 70. I figured I would set up a lean to tarp lake side on our property and continue my boil all night. Since I don’t sleep through the night at my age I thought if I added a couple beers for sure I would be up every few hours. Got up at 11:30 and there was a good 4 inches of liquid sap so I stoked the fire. Making good progress. At 02:30 I have a similar picture!!! In 3 hours?? My first 20 gallons wasted!!! You are amazing and love the Baird family!! Keep it up!!

Oh gosh that would be so heartbreaking losing that boil. 😔 If it makes you feel better we just lost about 50 gallons of sap when our container bust because we didn't see the rock under it. We were so excited that the trees were still running! 😭

Interested to see how the Butter Chicken turns out. I have heard that the dairy makes it tricky to dehydrate and also to store so I found a recipe online that uses ground cashews instead. It was ok but not as good as the sauce you are using. It is our favorite.
