Thanks for doing this video and yours looks so nice. My dehydrator broke so I bought a used one came across an amazing deal on limes and this dehydrator burnt majority of them. I had gotten 40 lbs for 7.00 . Ugh But I was able to save some. By the way I love your channel and I have my daughter now trying your non-dairy cheese with nutritional yeast and potatoes and stuff she's learning so much through you she can't do dairy from cows
The same happened to me when I did oranges that were not going to get eaten. After blitzing it felt "humid". Part of it was that Vitamix warmed up the peels while blitzing and also I believe the natural oils of the peel made it clumpy when warmed, even after dehydrating after powdered. Mind you the peels on those were very thick, so that might be it too. So I just froze mine to prevent it from going rancid or off.
Looks great...would be great in baking ..easier to use the powder than having to zest lemons...ive always wanted to make lemon pepper spice blend..just never got around to it yet..thanks
Girl with all those lemons you need a mandolin goes a lot faster.Oh and I would love some ideas on what to do with this lemon powder. Very intriguing idea your videos are wonderful.
I have one. But sometimes I don’t trust it for things. This was one. The seeds in it could dull blade faster. Or I could cut myself when I hit a seed. Cutting that by hand didn’t take long.
Hey 🤗 Now you did a great job Can’t wait to see what your going to do with the lemon power .. I ‘m going to make some with my left over lemons .. thanks Blessing 👩🌾
I was curious if anyone has utilized their lemon powder, or other powder made from dehydrated fruits or vegetables to coat and bake? Salmon coated with Lemon powder. Yum!
Another wonderful instructional video on dehydrating! I was gifted an older (never used) dehydrator however it doesn't have a temp control. Should I ditch the unit and get one with a temp control? It doesn't have fruit roll up trays so can I cut parchment paper or would that curl up while dehydrating? 👍
Those ones are fine for herbs, veggies and fruit. Just don’t use for meats. I used to use parchment paper before I got these. It doesn’t curl if you put it on upside down.
