HBCU’s are the notorious for misappropriation of funds. TSU is no different! TSU is no different they were still is stealing money from the students. I know this personally because my son went there and never received any money from the school and he was a VA dependent. I looked at his account they charged him for a dorm and he was staying in an apartment. They charged him for so much and when I confronted them with the proof of it all. Deion also I address the governor and the mayor of the city of Jackson. So all of those things went into his decision to leave and win Deion said. On 60 minutes if a power, five school reaches out with interest, I’m going to have to entertain that idea. And a number of schools started reaching out to him once they heard that. I don’t think his intention was to leave Jackson state university, but I do understand his “Why” the financial situation not being defined to him is one reason he’s leaving. Look back everything that Jackson State has he paid, for he took a cut and pay, and I took a portion of his pay to get the facility and the atmosphere in which he would like it, and it was conducive to the students. Jackson State ran him off no water, water problems he addressed the mayor and governor, he addressed the school about the financial situation, so why is he in this fight alone and not get the answers you need? Of course things weren’t perfect in the 60’s, 70’s & 80’s, BUT Jackson was a city that had a lot of culture, clean parks, beautiful zoo, well-kept roads and infrastructure, drinkable water, and most of all, a low crime rate. It’s obvious that today, elected or appointed officials must be misappropriating the citizens tax dollars (to put it nicely). It seems that a substantial percentage of those in power are only looking out for themselves, while robbing the citizens of the basic services that they have been taxed for. I’m unable to take my children and grandchildren to visit the neighborhoods and shopping centers where I grew up, due to the risk of potential crime. This “disease” appears to have spread to the university, as well. Until there is accountability, nothing will change. It’s so sad to see this happening.

Sometime in the late 80s the TV rights got renegotiated and the schools got the biggest pay day they had ever seen. And rather than investing some of that money back in to the Football program that got you that pay day, ALL that money went to the school presidents and high councils. And how did the 90s and 00s and 10s go for Southern and Grambling and all HBCU? Slowly but surely downhill

2017 Jackson State University (JSU) has agreed to pay the United States $1.17 million to settle allegations that JSU mismanaged National Science Foundation (NSF) Grants. There’s a history of this school’s administration of misappropriating funds.

Transparency is the greatest equalizer to misunderstandings.. If Deon knows the school isn't going to reinvest a % of the money back into the football.he doesn't complain bec.he knows what to expect. How many college program have coaches coming out of pocket to improve the school..

I’m sure it’s a lot Prime dealt with behind the scene with that school. You can tell when he was talking he was trying not to say everything. I don’t blame him for leaving he I’m sure people was scheming that man and other coaches.
