Jimmy Horn Jr is a dawg !! I figured he’d be good but not that good. I expected great play out of Travis he’s consistent. They could have a 2 headed monster there!
@@Thee_Hamza Travis is amazing I almost expect him to play like that, horn jr I figured would be good but not that good. I knew Travis was about to show out same with sheaduer
@@lonnieknight9187 I agree if the defense keep playing like this they're going to tie last year's losing record, they gave up to many yards in the passing game & missed tackles.
@@lonnieknight9187 I mean....of course not. God forbid they go play someone down south in their house, they would 100% get shi pumped. They have nice skill players, but it will most definitely be another 4-8 5-7ish type season
@KevonDaDon EXACTLY, and the year before! All I have to say is that this man had 27 offers... 27 OFFERS! He could have been doing this at the biggest schools in the country and starting! ALABAMA ASU GEORGIA Cornell Baylor FLORIDA FSU FAU GT Houston Louisiana LSU Marshall Memphis OREGON MICHIGAN South Carolina TENNESSEE UCF UCLA Syracuse Utah St. UTEP Vanderbilt JSU! He didn't have to play for his father... he has ALL of those offers before the JSU offer! Those head coaches believed in him as well as NFL owners! NFL draft buzz has him at #1, and he was in the top 5 last year! Travis, #1 CB, and not even listed in the WR conversation! Shilo, #8 safety! Draft buzz is pretty spot on with the picks!
Dude, NDSU, stop. A good program and that’s it. With the firepower CSU supposedly has and ALL these new recruits…should have been in the bag. But the coaching staff is hot kaka and everything revolves around padding Sheduers stats.
Exactly proving his point. There are much better teams and games yet the media wants to focus on Colorado. They are getting the Tim Tebow treatment. Full time Coverage while their play doesn’t warrant it
Shadeur, Hunter, and Horn definitely took care of business. I'm reserving judgment until they get into their conference schedule. As I've said, CU has improved significantly in the dojo. Dallan Hayden's lack of involvement suggests they are still subpar in the trenches.
It suggests the goal hasn't ever changed, actually. The goal was always Shedeurs numbers and last night was another example of that. Still passing when they should've been running. Deions the sole reason it was down to the wire
@@Steelfan-oe7ok it is dumb and I think they suck but that o line was getting no push and they were playing against inferior athletes on the outside I figured they'd throw for a first and get outta there. Definitely would've cost them against a good ball club though
@@Thee_Hamza ...Tyreek has a thick build and has borderline olympic speed. Travis does not. Hunter needs to look towards Justin Jefferson if he wants to be great. Jefferson doesnt have long speed, very average measurables, skinny. But he may be the greatest route runner the league has ever seen
NDSU came to play and pressured CO. till the last play. Having said that man, if the Buffs jell on defense and continues to execute on offense they will be a force to be reckoned with down the stretch.
@jonathanwinn5265 never said that nor is that the point. But I see the word hate more whenever it comes to any prime criticism. It's like people that cry everything bad that happens to them is racism. Except looking in the mirror and realizing it has nothing to do with race and everything to do with behavior.
There was also no personal fouls for Shilo's multiple late hits, would have been ejected in the first half if he had a different last name. Says more about the refs than the team lol
Individually, the defense is stacked with talent. Upfront, and in the secondary. But they're not clicking as a team and as a unit. They held NDSU to 6 points in the second half but the total yards was over 450+
They don’t have a chance to improve like everybody else? Florida State loss does that make them a bad team based off the first game? These kids don’t have pre season games
@@jasonroberts8408 okay who defensively is a answer for Travis hunter , jimmy horn jr, Wester, Sheppard which didn’t break out this game , please tell me how is Nebraska going to stop them who on the Nebraska defense is an All-American that is so scary ?
Paul Fineclown is now changing his tune to a “winning record” “two of the most exciting player in college ball” but they were just irrelevant a second ago??
@drinkingpoolwater yes, but let's be honest, it's the first game of the season against a really tough appointment. Other teams are playing cupcakes, and they got an FCS Dynasty team.
Deion's fire is unreal, love how he expects so much from his players! And Shedeur's potential? It’s like watching the next big thing unfold right before our eyes! 🚀🔥
@Steelfan-oe7ok While the stat padding is a warranted criticism, it's not on Deion. They've made it clear the OC and Sheduar call all the plays. Deion isn't the offensive mastermind, he's a game managing style coach. Deion has to step up and do his job as far as stopping his son and the coordinator from being overzealous. I think that's Primes biggest fault.
@@serrahighsfinestit’s hillarious that you went out of your way to comment that it’s not Deions fault but on the OC. Yet you’re dead silent on comments that are congratulating Deion for being in charge of a great offense. I dont see you saying “Deion shouldn’t get the credit, the credit belongs to the OC” lmao ya want Prime to get all the credit for the good stuff but none for the bad stuff lmao
They need to fix the defense they gotta offside penalty on 3rd down wen they got the stop and Dakota scored and they gotta keep the QB on his feet now shedeur is an iron man but he’s too important to keep taking big hits after throwing the ball
Sanders is standing on his own merit. That means a lot for any kid who has a standard he doesn't have to hold up to or be judged by because they are comfortable in their own shoes and making their individual work speak Turn Up it's own volume !!!!
@@nadecha5326 They don't have a stadium that meets FBS minimum attendance requirements. They can't expand it because its a dome and they like where they are. They get some FBS Transfere kids as well. They also have beaten the last 6 or 7 FBS opponents they have played, including Big Ten Iowa.
The playcalling to closeout the game was questionable. They have not grown enough to be a contender for the Natty. This will be a .500 team at the end of the season.
@@RazzyDreads clearly that person doesn't know who NDSU is that team is 9-5 against D1 teams bro they beat Iowa when they was ranked 13 in the FBS one season
@Slapyoself303 It just comes down to hate at the end of the day.. no matter what the outcome would have been, ppl would find a way to hate. If it was their team, they would say a win is a win
With that defense, they will be. Can't count on the offense to bail you out all the time. It's like the Packers from 2012-2022. You can have the most explosive offense ever, but if your D and special teams don't help you, you won't win when it matters. Colorado is in that boat. I like CO, but even I can see the obvious.
I don’t understand why the narrative is changing CU’s team has improved massively from last year…NDSU was not going to be a walk in the park ofc it would’ve been a close game
NDSU were never pushovers. If you've watched them the last couple years, they always come to play. They're good. They'd give most FBS programs nightmares. Colorado needs to improve immensely on defense.
I like how much complaints there are about the defense, but the offense only puts up 31 on an FCS defense, NDSU not withstanding, in a close game.....you aren't there yet in either phase.
I think they'll have an winning season make a bowl which would be another year of growth. But i can't see a playoff run yet due to that defense and the lack of run game
Deion played baseball and football, he also got the opportunity to play both ways so of course he’s letting Travis, who has the gas Tank do what he does! Travis will not play as many snaps as the season progresses but HE IS HIM!
I love that hunter wants to play so much but prime needs to hold him back some to last the entire season. I’d love to see him play full time offense, 3rd down and 2 minute defense, and punt return.
@dextherjohnson2072 Hating for calling what it is? Y'all don't understand the rules of football. It isn't holding to be tangled up, holding is impeding someone to leave their spot by pulling on to part of the uniform. When the ball is in the air both players have equal rights to a spot to go up for it.
Travis hunter clearly YANKED the defender down by his jersey in the endzone to get the TD. That play alone would have put Colorado behind the sticks and eliminated the TD.
But i do believe he has to protect himself a lot more and im a bkk man so there is no hate here. I ask myself if the kid is be tutored by brady why does he slide more . I seen one play he escaped out the pocket ,could have run out of bounds but hes lowering his shoulder . Not gonna last long in college or nfl gotta put slide in his arsenal.
Brodie shauder is filthy could you guys imagine if he had any type of oline the plays he makes under pressure is insane ; Every team should be looking at this guy as a main QB option his ability to handle all that pressure is insane and he sill through 430 yards the ammount of hits he took and pressure was ridiculous
Mahomes, Jackson, Allen, is the new NFL QB, Prototype. Tom Brady is the old NFL QB. Mobile QBs who improvise are the future of the NFL. That WR Horn Jr is special!
NDSU has beaten some decent fbs teams, but that's all Colorado will be, decent. Deion can't seriously sit here and pretend they're a national championship contender, cause they're not even close. They'll probably be 8-4 or 7-5 this year. We're not about to sit here and pretend teams like Georgia, Alabama, Ohio State, Oregon, Texas, etc would play a close one against NDSU.
Offense is amazing, specialty players are phenomenal, it just looked to me that the line is a bit small on both sides of the ball... O-line has trouble protecting the quarterback and D-line cant seem to get that push...
