Univ of Hawaii football was 0-12 in 1998. In 1999, June Jones took over and led UH to the biggest turnaround in NCAA history by going 9-4 with a bowl win over Oregon State. That was before this portal nonsense, so it was with the same team that was 0-12 the year before, normal roster turnover notwithstanding. It's called being a coach. Deion should try it sometime.

Deion fan here but also a realist. I was just complaining to a friend about the program at Colorado and the thing's being said and how thing's are being done. It's not a good look and no long term sustainability. Sheduer calling a former teammate mid at best and Coach Prime when asked about player's leaving and entering the portal saying what are we losing is not good. Regardless if you are a fan or not. The way you carry yourself and the thing's you say matter when you are a leader. I'm pulling for Prime but I'm also objective.

Coach Sanders dont and cant coach,thats why he has to use the portal. He wants players real coaches have taught technique/mechanics,etc and he can get em and just send em on the field. Let others coach em.

Coming from a lifelong Colorado fan, it's impossible for him to leave Colorado in a worse position than when he arrived. In almost every category: revenue from licensing and apparel, applications and enrollment, notariaty, on and on.he can leave tomorrow and it would be one of the best things that's happened to Colorado since 1990

They say you can judge a man by the men that he makes, IE his kids. And this offseason alll we have heard is that his sons are going down the same road that he did as a young football player. What I mean is they're glorifying the money and the women, and wanting all the celebrity. That's why Jason Whitlock says there's nothing about this man that screams I submit my life to Christ! He's what they call a Bible belt Christian. He's a Christian in name only. Because the position that God has put him in if he was really a man submitting his life to Christ and a man that's been called to help young boys become men he would not be pointing them at all these rappers glorifying sex, drugs, degrading women and hustling. But because they've got money to Prime money equals success(no matter what you did to get the money) and that's all that matters! And that's who he points his players to emulate. That's not the goal for the believer, but it looks like that's what Deon has communicated is important to his children. It's really sad that he's pointing his sons down the same destructive road He went down that almost led to him taking his life at one point. When you look to the world to be fulfilling when we're supposed to look to God to fulfill that hole in our soul you'll be left disappointed. It doesn't matter how much money you have, drugs you consume or women you consume you will be left feeling empty and hopeless!

I'm a Colorado native and 45 year fan. Watched coach McCartney, Eric Bieniemy, Tom Rouen, Deon Figures, Vance Joseph, Darien Hagan, Micheal Westbrook. What a team, what a magnificent culture. Total agree, I was pretty excited and I told everyone I knew this Deion thing is gonna be special. Time to eat some crow and humble pie. Soo disappointed.

I understand why Florida State players didn't play in the bowl game. They were 12-0 . For the regular season in a POW 5 conference . They didn't get a chance to compete for the college championship.

I am still mad at Colorado State coach Jay Norvell for going for the tie and overtime instead of the win with a 2 point conversion. If the Rams score the 2 pointer to win it, all of the air would be let out of the stadium and Prime would have had his tail between his legs on the way out.

I have personally observed Deon from back in the days of the "TRUTH" pee wee days. This model of football is exactly what he has been doing since his sons could play. Football and baseball. Stacking teams with top athletes and having success at the beginning. Until he gets figured out, then its all downhill from there.
