You let your wrist bend in the cut and you are pulling away instead of letting the blade move through the target, making it a weak slicing action, try to let the blade extend more and really go through the target.
I am not a historical accuracy buff, so I'd like what I would think of as a marine-ized (naval) version. This hilt with about a 28" some cut but mostly thrust blade. I do realize that would probably put the center of mass/balance inside the hilt though. Not sure what that would feel/handle like though🤔
I own a del tin I've purchased others in the padded like hanwei with poor results.. I've purchased 2 separate del tin swords however and have been entirely elated with them both for the price. Del Tin French Small Sword Del Tin 13th Century German Sword

Pixelman64 If you’re looking for a sword that can really be used you’re not gonna find any that are really cheap the best you’ll find is probably a dagger and those can cost up to 350 Like a lot of things that are really interesting swordsmanship is an expensive hobby
Im curious has kult of athena ever looked into being able to make custom swords/axes/ect. or even selling more parts? I know spears are pretty available as dyi if you just get the head but whats the potential on expanding into supplying the means for anything from handle making to possibly carrying blacksmithing supplies
