For the first time, I decided to head up to the Delaware Water Gap National Recreational Area on the PA/NJ border in the extreme Northeastern section of the Pocono's. This area is approx. 70k acres and contains various trails, waterfalls, and other varied recreational opportunities. With only a few hours to dedicate to fishing this beautiful place, I decided to focus on two streams. In the course of about 2 hours I caught 5 species of fish including Wild Brown Trout. Ideally, next time I would fish here I would hit some tributaries for Wild Trout, but also attempt to target the Striped Bass and Shad which supposedly migrate that far up the Delaware River.
