I was unaware you could use the leftover marinade that the raw meat was soaking in. I was always told it had to be discarded. In this video, he heats it in a saucepan, so I guess that makes it edible. Just surprised.
Hi Jonathan. I thought the same thing for the longest time. I'm still cautious when it comes to chicken, but as long as you have that boil, you are usually okay. We tend to discard many things we shouldn't sometimes I guess. The sauce was so good. Hope you try it. Stay safe and well, Jonathan.
I am actually anxious to try this tonight as we have chops in the fridge for tonight's dinner and I was looking for an idea to do something to make them and boom you just happen to post this video. Hi Dave, can I do this with chicken breast strips also? When you put your pork chops in the marinade isn’t the marinade now contaminated? I was always told not to use the sauce after you’ve had the raw meat in it.
@@TheCooknShare Thanks Dave, that makes sense if you boil it. I plan on trying this with chicken tenders because my husband is allergic to any animal with 4 legs, per his allergy doctor. Apparently he was bitten by a tick which caused this. It makes it quite difficult since he loves his beef, pork and venison etc. He can only eat animals with 2 legs. It’s crazy. We’ve never heard of anything like this before.
Yeah, it would be so good with chicken tenders. Chicken and pineapple go so well together too. I have never heard of anything like that before either. That is really different. WOW! Poor guy. Dave, would it be safe to use a marinade from raw pork as a sauce for the meat? I suspect we would need to cook that sauce a while to minimize the risk.
@@TheCooknShare feeling a bit better. Into day 6 tomorrow. Just had fever which is gone now and out of breath while eating. Was so close to my second dose 😥. Now have to wait 4 to 8 weeks to receive my second dose after recovery happens
@@TheCooknShare The symptoms were mild. Fever came and went in 2 days. Lost my taste and smell on the 3rd day. Today is day 6 for me. Yes, caught it after my 1st dose. Was just 2 weeks away from my second jab. Now have to wait 90 days or 28 days after recovery to get my second shot
