2018 crew cab tradesman ram 3500 G 56 here. Bought it new 40,000 miles now. Single disk 450 horsepower clutch going in next week from Kentucky clutch. I’m picking out a delete kit now.😃
Hello. My single disc clutch upgrade from Kentucky clutch has been installed now for about three months. Pedal effort is a little bit more than stock, but it absolutely grabs and feels rocksolid. A little bit of growl and clutch rollover noise at low RPMs creeping around, but that’s just fine with me. 😃 my stock clutch was slipping, even without it being tuned. I have got head studs, and a banks, monster ram conversion. Waiting to get that installed.
End of this week my '18 g56 is gettin off road treatment at 96k and change on the ticker, factory clutch hasn't enjoyed life much..........hauled about 300 cord of firewood, and skidded almost every tree, 39ft toy hauler 5th wheel, horse hay, blah blah blah. I'm not sure which clutch exactly, I'm sure it's one of two options on the market, so long as it don't slip anymore I don't care lol. My pickup is exactly like the video specimen, just long ben
Thanks for ride along! The swoosh on deceleration, is that the exhaust brake turned on making that beautiful sound?? Mine is my daily driver and a lot of city driving all day. You think the rumble noise would get old to me? I like the swoosh just worried about the overall rumble…. What do you think? And thank you in advance! Nice truck and video!
Honesty inside the cab it’s really not to loud at all, I think you’d be fine in city driving. Yes the swoosh is the exhaust brake best sound ever! Thank you
Honesty stock clutch I leave mine on level 1 I wouldn’t go any higher it will slip 4,5,6 gear just on level 1 with stock clutch. I got clutch upgrades coming soon for the Cummins!
