The Krang here is one of the few villains that actually 'is too powerful' even at the end of the movie. Even with their powers back and narratively they're the most powerful versions of themselves, the Krang managed to keep up with the four, though being tossed around, but still did he keep up.
the funny thing is that the turtles are still technically beginners and can still get even stronger if they trained more with their ninpo. karai was an excellent user of the technique and was tearing away the shredder's armor in her weaken state. The turtle ( although were beating the crap out of the shredder) weren't doing much damage.
I think some moments could have hit even harder, if the pacing would have been just a little slower. But also goes for some moments in the series like Donnie vs witch town.
I understand why they couldn't animate the full scene, but MAN do i wish they could've! I liked the emphasis on Leo's reaction to Mikey and Donnie's situation too
This…. This is the reason why i love TMNT so much. Not rise. TMNT IN GENERAL. They made such good characters and everyone who says the new series’s aren’t what they wanted are just people who never gave it a try.
Rise of the teenage mutant ninja turtles that's a real show i watched it twice going to actually do that it's a great show great fine animations really funny i'm just recommending the show and also the movie
I will be honest. When I saw trailer when rise was being made. I wasn't sure myself and feared it will be like any reboot cartoon that sucks. I'm happy I was proven wrong. This series slaps. Got my favourite final fights so far.
I want to be an animator so bad now. This is absolutely insane and 2D animation needs a major comeback. The rise of cgi really did damage to the reputation of 2D
Man it pains my heart to think that this fight could've been one of the best fights not only in TMNT but also in animation history if it were finished and put into the movie, we were robbed big time
Somwhere in Tumblr there is this scene with i need a hero song as bacground and it's amazing and scary how not only music, but words are fit in the scenes
Woah this is so sick, this would have made the fight just as memorable as the one against Shredder on S2 and even more. I guess they couldn't cover all of it in the budget or in the times, that often happens and it's understandable. Still, what a spectacle.
I left this fandom last year, simply because I got bored and gave up hopes of a season 3. I kept running into fanart and stuff onlind and wondered how the hell the fandom was still going This has made me remember how fucking awesome the show is, and I sorta wanna return to it now XD
Nickelodeon should’ve found a way to delay this movie’s release to give the animators more time to finish this entire scene. Don’t get me wrong what we got was amazing, but THIS finished to it’s entirety would’ve been one of the most legendary animated fights of all time.
This fight was outstanding! I had an idea, when they all were combining there powers on raph, i thought what is instead of a punch, leo gave raph his katana and donnie enlarged it, and mikey set it on fire so they’d have a giant fire sword like in voltron or something
2:09 shots like this remind me of how fucking big Kraang was in this movie. Even in past iterations, he was only ever slightly bigger than the turtles but her he TOWERS over them, to the point he’s arguably bigger than Shredder who was also massive in his own right.
I do not know how much people worked on this but it looks like a passion product or like a anime thing i'm not watched a lot of so yeah i wanna watch some more turtle media but this one perfect
This looks sooo coool!! I really wanna become an animator and make shows with these kinds of fights!!! It looks so smooth and niceee!!! I would love to see more fight scenes like this.
The flick to stop the turtles combined attack is one of the most disrespectful badass things I have seen out of a main villain in a show (especially a one off movie villain) in a large period of time
Looking at it after watching the movie, I can speculate as to why some of the cuts didn't make it in the final film. Too long a fight scene. I suspect the movie needed to be kept at a certain length for some platforms. Not only that, if a fight scene in general is too long, it wears down the audience and they won't have enough mental energy for the hype that comes with the next parts after the fight. Also, some of the animatics were a little hard to follow as a first-time viewer, especially since we've only seen the turtles first use their signature powers in the series finale episode before this movie ever existed. Lastly, continuity and flow. If you noticed in the final version, when Leo teleports the brothers for one final smash to the Krang Leader, the action of Leo's sword throwing was easier to follow, compared to these animatics where Leo's sword flying, and then the boys forming up, then Leo teleporting to the sword's location results in a broken flow. In a production, one of the key elements to keeping the audience engaged in a movie is the general flow, not just in the plotline, but in little things like what I just mentioned. As epic as these animatics are, the production team really cared about how an audience would see this movie, and went above and beyond to ensure quality in their work. Props to them! I greatly enjoyed it!
i disagree, when i watched the movie the fight scene felt way too short, i was kinda even disappointed but then i saw this video and it all made sense why it felt like something was missing, and also i didn't find any part of the fight hard to follow at all, this uncut version felt like a proper final battle for the brothers where they all got a moment to shine unlike the final version we got, but thats just my opinion
You know? After watching this, i’m pretty sure the budget wasn’t even high, it is because it was just simple, if you look closely some parts are not drawn well. So even tho it was drawn kinda poorly, it was still amazing, because even tho it was just simple, they found a way to make it look good. So it doesn’t matter if it’s drawn well or simple, you just need to make it look amazing.
Uh,, kinda confused by ur comment ngl. This is an *animatic*, a blueprint for the people further down the animation pipeline to later refine once the supervisor gives the okay. And even then, the art is perfectly serviceable for it's purpose as an animatic: 1) to convey motion well and 2) relay important information that will later be refined in the final stages of animation. I'd say this is one of the better works of art I've seen in animatics, as figures have a clear flow of energy and dynamism, and the action/pacing of the scene is easy to follow. If ur comparing the simplified figures of the characters to the more detailed background shots, it's not a difference of "bad art" and more of the background shots being assets predrawn to better help animators make sense of where the scene is taking place. And even then, the art is stellar throughout because while it might lack details and the lines shakey, you can tell just by the posing and insane levels of perspective that the people on this project know what they're doing in terms of art. After all, you could tell what was happening, right?
Hey, I was wondering if you could do a similar thing with the "ROTTMNT Restored: Krang vs. The Mad Dogs" video since it's reanimated but lacks sound right now.
Wait another thing: remember that second Baxter Stockboy episode where Leo teleported the whole team to the middle of nowhere? Why doesn’t he just do that again, but you know, to the Krang?
@@larrytherustyboii7442 yeah I know that but why not, before hand, just use his OWN portal to teleport him to the middle of nowhere and then just leave him there?
