this whole movie is like an original story I tried to write when I was 11 that spiraled out of control in every way

**hears someone mentions Strange Magic** Now THAT'S an animated movie that needs to be talked about at some point.

"Is it possible to watch a movie with you without animals in it?" *NOT SCIENTIFICALLY POSSIBLE*

Honestly my brain kept telling me this was in fact a game cutscene so I let thinking “jeez, when will this end and start the actual game?” And then I remembered that this is in fact a movie.

So that's where the idea for the designs of the Michael Bay TMNT came from.

I lost it at "I watched The Dark Crystal high on oxycodone!"

While the people designs were awful, I feel like the character designs and the environments were actually good. The fight scenes had potential but fell victim to awful jankiness. They should have pulled a Bionicle and went for direct to DVD. Although tbh the Bionicle movies would have done WAYYYYY better in theaters than Delgo would have, so I don't think it would have made a difference.

Those "winged spinny Barbies from the 90s" were called Sky Dancers and they were the worst. You had to duck and cover if you didn't want one to clock you in the head. (Granted, I'm sure playing with them indoors wasn't the best idea, but still.)

This is one of those Christmas Gifts your parents get you because they saw it in the $2 bin at Walmart

The animated butts are the movie's greatest asset.

This looks like the characters and a lot of the buildings were meant to be toys at first but then somebody remembered "oh shit, we have to actually like make something for these things to be in" and just started ripping stuff from other things to fill out the script. Like, a lot of them have the same bodies, but the armor and clothing looks very like intricate (not good, but a lot of detail for something so cheap and cookie-cutter), I think the wings of the bad boss lady is what made me think of this. Her wings are super-edgy and have a lot of detail, they look more like they belong on an action figure than an actual like living thing.

You know you've just watched a bad movie when the credits are more interesting and look better than the rest of the movie combined.

So this movie is just Romeo and Juliet, Carnival Row(Cos of the faries), Strange Magic, and Finding Nemo all bunched up

Who of your friends cracked a beer? I had rewind so many times. That is greatest recording ever 1 minute in best recording again. I even cracked a cold one myself a few minutes before watching this vid.

When Strange Magic got mentioned I had to go rewatch it. CURSE MY LOVE OF MUSICALS!!!! (I enjoy that movie perhaps more than I should, but everyone got that guilty pleasure XD)

The Art Director for this film, Mark A. W. Jackson is the guy who drew the characters in the credits. He's a very good illustrator.

Tbh I love films that have a ton of lore and worldbuilding behind them (Dark Crystal, for example) and I feel like Delgo was trying to follow in its footsteps

I got excited when Strange Magic was mentioned. It is such a guilty pleasure I love rewatching it. It could use so much work to fix it but there's enough good in it that you wish it were paid better attention n fixed a bit more. The concept art is gorgeous. The marketing for it not so much. Everyone I know that's seen it loves it.

Keeping it 100% if they expanded on the lore and exposition, redesigned some of the characters, gave it a darker tone of of color, and kept the story focused on the three main characters and the main villain, then this would make a great video game. This movie would have been far too compressed to take seriously as its own world.

Once I heard the connection between “strange magic” that hit me, you should review it. The story is somewhat entertaining- but I’m not as professional you seem as a movie critic, the animation looks nice to me. Even for what I think, I want to see what you think.

I feel like this should’ve been aired on *Nickelodeon* instead. The animation quality would’ve been more acceptable for a T.V. movie and if there was high enough ratings, they probably could’ve gotten a spin-off show or even a sequel. But as Saber mentioned, they were an independent company who wanted complete creative control...so I’m not sure if they would’ve accepted a deal from a major network.

Don't bring Barbie into this. In the mariposa series she was a disabled fairy who defeated the villain and then in the sequel she gave them up to become a mermaid and potentially lose them forever. And suffered through the annoying ugly rainbow puffball as a sidekick. She's much more interesting

I was wondering why this movie's music sounded soo much like Pirates Of The Caribbean... then I saw that Geoff Zanelli (who collaborated with Hans Zimmer on the Pirates movies and even went on to score Dead Men Tell No Tales years later) was in charge of the score and it all made sense. In fact, this music sounds more like DMTNT than any of the other Pirates movies and that wouldn't come out for another 9 years.

I was losing it a lot over the commentary, but the blurred out part that then led to "- repressed once if you could cast fireball at level 6?!?" and I was on the floor. I couldn't fully hear it but I heard perhaps all I needed X"D

I actually recognize Jeff "The Dude" Dowd. He was one of the real-life inspirations for Jeff Bridges' character in The Big Lebowski. He was a member of the real-life Seattle Seven (referenced in Lebowski) and apparently went on to work in films. Like Delgo. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeff_Dowd

Soooo Im a 26 yr black male and a TRUE 90s kid. These days Im starting not to ... enjoy being alone very very much opposed to going out to meet new people lol. Ironically it has made me feel very very lonely lol. I said that to say, I LOVE your "Let's Watch" episode. I get stoned and immediately click on a "Let's Watch" and it is a GREAT substitute for meeting new people because it's almost like I'm sitting with you, Saberspark, and your 3-4 friends. You guys are freaking AWESOME! Btw: Your friends seem cool. Either they really are cool or it just gives you an insight of what kind of person I am. 😂😂🤣

This honestly sounds like a story I tried to make when I was 14 and eventually got on to I’m 14 and this is deep

They look more like dinosaurs, which was why my mom borrowed this DVD, to make up for failing at the 1st try at finding a DVD of “Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs”. The titular protagonist looks & sounds like Aladar from Disney’s “Dinosaur”.

Do Titan A.E. it was made by 20th century fox in 2000, and was a combination of 2d and 3d, making something very odd to watch.

This movie not only won best film feature at Anima Mundi (a Brazilian film festival solely for animation) but it was also the final films for the actors Anne Barcroft (who voiced the main female antagonist) and John Vernon (who voiced a minor character)

The character models ( especially the baby delgo....thing....) looks like something taken out of the sims Also I think this movie would have done much better if it was made into a book series. The concept art is really good , and I think the storyline would have done better if it was spaced out instead of being squished together in a short movie Idk , I could be wrong

The production design for the non-humanoids is actually pretty good. It's just that the humanoids look awful
