Tasty protein-packed Cabbage and Chickpea curry every Vegan will love.
CABBAGE WITH BESAN -CHICKPEA FLOUR
Ingredients:
1 kg - Cabbage (shredded)
1 Cup - Peas
1 - Medium tomato diced

1tsp - Cumin seeds
1/4tsp - Asafetida/Hing
1tsp - Kashmiri Chilli powder
1 - Large onion sliced
====================
1tsp - Ginger paste
1tsp - Garlic paste
1tsp - Turmeric
1tsp - Garam masala
4tbsp - Chickpea flour/Besan
1tsp - Salt to taste
4-5tbsp - Mustard oil (or any other vegetable oil)
3 - Green chillies
2 - sprigs of curry leaves (optional)
Method:
• Start with heating up the mustard oil to a smoking point, then let it cool down before adding the cumin seeds, stir and add the asafetida, turmeric and Kashmiri chilli powder. Stir for a minute.
• Then add the sliced onions and sauté till translucent. Now add the ginger and garlic paste and sauté till aromatic.
• Add the fresh chillies and tomatoes and cook till tomatoes softens.
• Now add the chickpea flour or besan and cook for 3-4 minutes or till aromatic.
• Add peas and cook for 2 mintues.
• Now add the cabbage, mix through and cook on a low flame with the lid on for approximately 15 minutes.
• Once the cabbage is cooked, add the garam masala and the fresh curry leaves. Mix through then put the lid on and cook for another 5 minutes. Enjoy 😃
