Delicious Monthar or Monthal with Condensed Milk NO SUGAR SYRUP NEEDED Foolproof Reicpe

A delicious soft instant Indian mithaii or fudge that will melt in your mouth with it's richness
Recipe by Parveen Rashid
Ing:
3 cups besan flour
1 cup ghee or 1 cup unsalted butter
1 can condensed milk (400 grms)
2 tbsp milk (to be mixed with the flour)
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp crushed cardamom
2 tbsp crushed pistachios for garnish
Method:
Mix the two tanks of milk and rub it in the gram flour mixture leave it aside for 20 min next heat the ghee in the pan and add the besan flour mixture. Fry the besan until the color changes to brownish red. Add the cardamom and the nutmeg, lastly add the condensed milk and cook until the mixture becomes thick and fluffy, pour the mixture in a greased pan and garnish with chopped pistachios. You can also add almonds if you choose to garnish with almonds, cut in desired pieces
Makes about 30

even though i added more butter, because i felt it would need more butter and i was not having nutmeg powder and pistachos, still it came out amazing thanks for sharing such great recipes

Salaam, made this yesterday for eid. I was waiting for sundown to break my fast and try the taste.. perfect amount of ghee and taste.. Wasn't too sweet and that is how I prefer. Next I will try ur penda recipe and will. Let you know the outcome. Jazakallah..

Salam raihana, it's a great recipe. Actually I'm from bd where besan sweet is not common. Someone gave me a similar recipe but with sugar syrup instead of con milk. I would like you to advise if that could be done n if yes plz specify d amount of sugar n water

Fab recipe. I watched your video in Gujarati & had a blast :) What I appreciated was you gave credit back to Parveen for her recipe. 1 Q Can I use coarse laddoo besan ? as that would give a nice texture. Thx for your recipe and god bless!!

I tried it today first time I did the gugrati version I braise it for 15 minutes put the condensed milk mine was exactly like your colour But unfortunately my monthar was a bit raw flour what went wrong...😟

which besan flour u use for mohanthal? i mean regular besan aur laddu besan?

If u use laddu besan then skip the first step of rubbing the milk and besan together I have used both the flours and both come out great!

I like to use butter, some mithaiis just turn out very good using butter but you are welcome to add a little ghee in it as well to give it the rich taste
