This keyboard is a hidden gem that is going to explode on RU-vid soon enough, Dell must be very confident to give this keyboard a whopping 3 year warranty, that's unheard of in this market because most keyboards break apart after 1 year

Hi Pravesh Khanna, by any chance does the fn + left/right work as home/end keys?
@accidentalibi
@accidentalibi 3 года назад
Hey! Thanks for the video! I have a question. What action does Fn+left/right arrow do? Fn+up/down explicitly say they work as Page Up/Down. I expect Fn+left/right behave like Home/End buttons, but I can't find confirmation anywhere. I got used to this behavior and this is critical factor for me since I work with code a lot. Thanks!
@NinjaPrav
@NinjaPrav 3 года назад
Fn + Left/Right does nothing, only moves the cursor by 1 space. There are dedicated home and end keys on the keyboard so I guess there is no need for this. However, you can use the Dell Peripheral Manager utility to re-map keys to whatever you like.

This is the standard keyboard we supply now at work. It's a decent keyboard but in my opinion it could be better. The Fn-key functions being prioritised over F1-F12 by default and a small Enter-key for my personal liking. It's a solid keyboard for the right person but personally I'm not really sold on it.
@NinjaPrav

Hi Em, thanks for watching the video and providing your input. While I agree the enter key is a smaller size, it comes down to personal preference, the Fn keys can be customised using the Dell Utilities software. It may be worth try to play with it.

Hi, my Android TV doesn't have bluetooth connection and my tab has bluetooth. Is it works with my tv and my Android tab? Can you please clarify.
@NinjaPrav
@NinjaPrav 3 года назад
Hey Rajashekher, thanks for a great question. The device comes with a USB dongle as well. I have tested my Samsung (non-Android) TV, and the unit works with the usb dongle. With your Android tab, you should be able to connect the keyboard and mouse using Bluetooth. Hope this helps.

@NinjaPrav
@NinjaPrav 3 года назад
Hi Prashant, I have used this keyboard and mouse with Bluetooth and the Dell supplied usb dongle and it works fine. No. Issues what to ever. If I would have a complain, that would be the inability to adjust the mouse speed on the fly from a button on the mouse. I have to goto control panel to manage this setting. Hope this helps.

I have used the Dell Multi-Device Wireless Keyboard and Mouse Combo - KM7120W for 1 month and I will post the answer here about my experience. It is not a multi-device "Combo", it is simply an individual multi-device wireless mouse and an individual multi-device wireless keyboard which are sold together. The mouse and the keyboard are not linked in any way. The above requirement can`t be done thus you will always need to instruct your mouse to switch between devices and also instruct your keyboard to do the same switch. "Allowing you to switch easily across your laptop, desktop or 2-in-1 with a click of a button." as advertised on Amazon and on the Dell website is incorrect and false advertising. Thus if you need to switch frequently, it is far from "seamless" and I encourage you to look further for another product such as a KVM switch: Clicks required to switch from device 2 to device 3 is a TOTAL of 4, namely 2 times on the mouse and 2 times on the keyboard) Clicks required to switch from device 3 back to device 2 is a TOTAL of 6, namely 3 times on the mouse and 3 times on the keyboard This results in an average TOTAL of 5 clicks to switch between devices, not the experience I was led to believe when I purchased the item. On a positive note, the set-up process is very intuitive, the keyboard and mouse are solid, the typing goes fluent and the battery life (after 1 month) is still great. If you haven`t used the device for a while, there is some minor lag when you first reactivate it out of battery saving mode but this doesn`t disturb me for everyday usage. Neither should it disturb with gaming because you keep your mouse active. If you`re merely occasionally switching between devices then this product could be sufficient for you. It remains rather pricy, at 80-100 CAD depending where you purchase the item, especially compared to a KVM switch which does the same (and more!) with 1 click and added benefits. Kudos to Dell Support for the very fast support, although efficient problem solution is left to be desired.

Does it come with just the single USB dongle?
@NinjaPrav
@NinjaPrav 3 года назад
Yes. It is Dell universal dongle which can be programmed to be connected with other Dell branded keyboard and mouse.
@jasonsinger2362
@jasonsinger2362 3 года назад
My dislike fior this setup is that when switching from device to device you need to press 2 buttons to switch, the keyboard switch AND the mouse switch. A cheap usb KVM can do it with 1 button for both mouse, keyboard and monitor.
@NinjaPrav
@NinjaPrav 3 года назад
I guess having the option to switch mouse and keyboard independently gives the flexibility to use them individually.

The keyboard is made entirely out of plastic but the top panel is painted in a silvery color while the bottom panel is left unpainted. The only keyboard made of aluminium that Dell offers is their Premier KM717 keyboard and mouse combo but the mouse in that one kinda sucks.

@Anita Recount anodized aluminium doesn't rust or corrode. it just feels and looks more premium than plastic.
