Dell Latitude E5540 SSD Upgrade

Thanks for your video. QUESTION:If I upgrade my new 2021 Dell Vostro 5402 (from 256 GB to 1TB), could I use the Vostro's 256 GB to upgrade my 2017 Dell Latitude E5540 (almost full at 128 GB?) Are the technologies the same and are there problems because of the ages? Thanks --- --- NOTE: Vostro: RAM 8 GB / Latitude 4 GB (I will double both.)
