My company M2800 laptop has been serving me well since 2015! But got real slow so did an image of the drive with AOMEI Backupper, made a bootable floppy with same tool, then swapped out my 1TB hybrid for a Crucial MX500 1TB 3D NAND SATA SSD. Works great now! Had the defragger running on the hybrid - which was probably a big mistake. Also want to shout out to readers that defragging should be turned off for SSD (and hybrids apparently).
I am confused, Sir. Everything I have read indicates that the maximum RAM is only 16GB, not 32GB. I am restoring an M2800 from the bottom up, and want to obtain its maximum capabilities. This SSD upgrade video is good, and I will attempt a 1TB SSD install. Thanks
Hey, I have seen some replacement parts on eBay and Amazon. I know they sell a 2nd Hard drive kit, that replaces your CD/DVD drive with a hard drive caddy.
Im replacing the ssd with an hdd. My main problem is the guards that attach to the sides (used to accomodate the SSD) are too small for it. Do i have to buy them first?

Did you ever find out what’s the max ram you can install in this machine? Also what’s the max ssd storage you can do as well. Are you still using this machine?
Up to 32GB would be max RAM for this machine. Max SSD would be as high as you want to spend. It's now been given to my daughter and she runs games on it. Still a solid laptop after several years abuse.
how come ye battery doesn't extend out from the body at the bad? Also how long does ye laptop last on a full charge whilst surfing the net? can you also show how to change the ram ? Cheers buddy!
Hey! The battery that sticks out the back is the larger extended option. I just have the smaller battery. I'd say fully charged, just browsing the web, 3 hours or so. It's a few years old so I'd say that's average. You can pick these up on eBay refurbished for under $500. Sure, that's a good idea for my next video, Ram Upgrade. Thanks!

@@midhunlove Sure thing, That Samsung SSD will work just fine. Make sure you have a Boot disk/usb with Windows 10 or which ever Operating system you'd like to use. If you're new to it, look up installing windows to a new hard drive to familiarize yourself with that process.
