Della Vlogs Talk About Adoption | And It's Super Scary 

As an adoptive mom, I remember being told that a baby is NOT yours until the birth mom has CHOSEN to sign a transfer of custody. So never do any baby showers, gender reveals, etc, because it is NOT your baby until it is.

Our needs means they want a white baby with no health issues....

This is so gross. We have adopted three times. One open and the other two closed. Let me tell you- one of the most depressing moments of my life was when we walked away from the hospital with our youngest- leaving her mother behind. Adoption is loss. Adoption is also about the child and not you. I don’t think they are very far in this process at all.

They don’t seem to grasp that babies are very temporary. They are embarking on raising an adult not a perpetual child.

It’s just wild how they don’t seem to grasp the reality of adoption. It’s beautiful and wonderful but it’s born out of trauma and brokenness.

This couple sounds like they are shopping for a new puppy not planning for a child. Not ready for the responsibility of a baby. They need to get a pet first.

My husband and I foster and adopted our 2 youngest ones. On adoption day they were bouncing off the walls with excitement. On the ride to the courthouse the little boy said, “I am SO excited, but I feel sad too”. Yes adoption is great but there is also loss. Watching these people makes me sick. Adoption is not all peaches and cream like they’re making it to be. It’s hard.

I was adopted at birth and honestly I can’t imagine being adopted by people like this. My parents were selfless and fought for me. Traveled to Mexico and paid a lot of money. It’s no joke. They make it seem like they’re getting a new car or something. So strange.

The amount of times they say "baby" instead of "child", "person", or anything else about having children rather than an infant makes me think they want a BABY and NOT a child

As someone who is adopted. I can’t imagine not having a day of if I want my story out to the public. That is so personal and unfair to have it shared without consent.

These two remind me of when I was 10 and playing with my Barbie and Ken in their Malibu dream house. Same level of conversation.

They're treating this baby like they're trying to find a puppy on social media

As a mom, this whole thing gives me the ick. Babies aren't dolls. She said "I just want a little baby to love on" as if the baby is a pet. A dog. A cat etc. No valid reasons like she's always dreamt of being a mom, she wants to raise children and feel her purpose is to be a mom. No. Nothing like that. Just want to love on a child. It's sickening

Does anybody else get the bad feeling that if they ever conceive then their adopted child is going to be tossed to the side?

I can’t stand the shopping list style of baby ordering, when this started I thought they already had an adoption secured then they started asking for leads!!! 😳 I literally paused and said to my other half they are baby trafficking then you said it Josh. These people are unreal. Totally agree with you Josh it sound like they are ordering an accessory and what you said about them being in the room with the birth mom 💯 agree with you that’s a big NO!!

Honestly…. It feels more like they are getting a pet and not a baby. Not once have they talked about how they are going to give the baby the best life. They haven’t said anything about how they will give their baby a good education and opportunities. It’s only about them. How the baby will benefit them.

I recently read a news story of a nurse adopting the teen Mom (15 years old) and triplets because the nurse that helped deliver the babies wanted to keep all of them out of system and keep them together. That is how you do adoption!!

I discovered that I have a connection to these two today! It turns out they share the same personality as my toilet paper holder.

So glad you’re doing a vid on these two. They never talk about giving this baby a good home, it’s all about how “WE want a baby so bad,” “I always wanted to be a mom!” It’s all about THEM and their desires. Nothing about what the child wants.

I’ve been following this. I think they are trying to simulate pregnancy, labor, and delivery, because it’s Bella that is struggling with infertility. I really feel for them, but I tear up thinking about a momma feeling required to give up her child. I can’t even imagine the heartbreak the mother and baby goes through when being separated. There is such a strong natural bond that happens

If they are friends with Matt&Abby they are 100% going to show this baby and make millions

I legit laughed so hard when you talked about how they sound like teenagers who are planning the future. It's so accurate. Lord help the kid they adopt. I usually don’t like to judge people too harshly on the internet, I like to believe that people are generally good in real life, but this situation left a really sour taste in my mouth. There’s something really strange to me about them announcing they’re adopting, making it this very big thing, building the nursery, etc. Only to then say, oh, we don’t have a baby to adopt yet - but we’re going to use our massive platform not only to document the entire process, but to also essentially put out an advertisement to our viewers telling them to reach out to us if they want to give their child up for adoption. Although I understand adoption is usually a lengthy process and they might want a quicker match, there’s something very tone deaf about using your massive platform, especially one with a lot of younger viewers, to try to expedite your adoption process.

IMAGINE BEING PREGNANT, RIGHT NOW. KNOWING YOU CAN'T CARE FOR IT (for whatever reason). PREPPING TO PLACE BABY UP FOR ADOPTION AND SEEING THIS VIDEO!!!!!!! 😢🤢 this is so gross. "Soft launch", "teaser's" should never be associated with a new baby in a family. Its beyond bizarre and how adoption advocates and facilitators see this and still allow the baby to go with these family's is wild. Proves all parties are in it for $$$$$$$$$$

Back in the eighties I put a baby up for adoption and for the first three months she was with a foster mom even though they had an adoption family picked. I had three months to change my mind and had weekly visits with her. I already had a baby(15 months old)at home so I couldn’t afford to have two babies. It was thru the city social services and that’s how it worked back then.

A family member gave up a child at birth for adoption. It was the right thing to do for the kid and herself, but it was incredibly difficult. I can’t imagine if she saw something like this come from the adoptive parents. SO Infuriating. Also edited to say: why did they say in the beginning of the video they didn’t know anyone who adopted and then they said “our friends who have adopted said…” 😒

Babies know who their mom is before birth. They know her smell, her heartbeat, and her voice. They know instinctively. I’ve gotten newborn foster babies and they are always fussier than my bio. It’s trauma. Their body knows they aren’t suppose to be with you.

My mom and dad adopted me at three months old. My mom wasn’t able to have children and refused to go through fertility treatments, she tried for 4 years! She was 33 when I arrived. I’m now 35 and I love my family so freaking much. ❤ my cousin who is like my sister now was fostered then adopted, she came to our family when she was 9. My whole adoption experience has been nothing but amazing. ❤ these literal CHILDREN have no idea what they’re doing 😂

They say they want a healthy baby, but they obviously don't realise that a lot of conditions aren't obvious at birth. There's a much higher chance of an adopted child having a disability or condition and then what will they do a few years down the line when they don't have the "perfect" baby they expected.

I’m adopted and my parents shared my adoption with family & friends, but they didn’t make a mockery of it to make money, which I disgusting 🙄 I feel sorry for any baby they get, because they’ll be exploited! 💔

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with her being happy and saying she’s excited to be a mom. Yes it’s a sensitive thing for child and bio mom. But her being sympathetic and aware of that part of adoption is different than her happiness to be a mom. Those that have infertility can be happy to be moms just like moms who get pregnant the natural way.

We are adopting but we are going to adopt a child who is 3-8. We know the trauma that will need to be worked through because I was adopted so was my husband!

Unholy hell!!! They bought a car seat, a crib, and they haven't even gone to fill out paperwork at an adoption agency. There is no way they would ask the camera for a baby if they went through a legit adoption agency. I never know how people can go through life being this dumb. They are never growing up, their whole reality is skewed.

I genuinely wish we could find out what adoption agencies they are using and let them know just exactly who Bella and what’s his face are. The fact that they are using their platform to basically buy a baby is so disgusting. You know they are going to get a white baby blond if they had the choice girl with absolutely no disabilities or sicknesses. And they will immediately take the baby from the birth-mom without letting them say goodbye first but on camera they will say “we are letting mom and baby say goodbye” but in reality D-bag is already getting them in the car. And they will never tell the baby they were adopted (s)he will find out the hard way via these videos.

It wasn’t until he said a baby that fit their needs, they lost me completely. There is no way these people would adopt a baby. They definitely have an agenda as to what type of baby they want to adopt. That’s fine. Just be honest.

Also I was thinking something similar when you said she's using MLM language to try to find a baby to adopt. It also sounds like they are trying to adopt a dog not a child. Hearing her talk reminds me of a friend of my mom's who tried to get me to join Mary Kay. She seems like a genuinely nice lady. But she definitely was love bombing me and tried to do what she could to get me to join. I'm a people pleaser and even though I had no interest or time to join I ended up talking with her and her higher up for an hour and a half so they could tell me about Mary Kay.

I placed my oldest for adoption when I was 16. It was a terrible situation all together. I was pretty okay mentally and emotionally until I signed the final documents to sign away my rights. It's a semi open adoption so I see her once a year and do gifts for birthdays and Christmas. When I see her my heart feels whole and then it breaks again once I have to leave. No one can understand. She's starting to get to the point where I know questions will come. The fact that these people are using this for money is sickening. There's so much therapy I've had from it, and she might need it as she gets older. These people just see money and views. They don't see a human being that needs a lot of focus and care.

If you remove the word 'baby' and replace it with 'puppy', I think they are better suited for pet adoption. He doesn't want to adopt, she wants a stepford child. They are SOOOOOO incredibly naive about adoption. EVERY adoption is birthed out of trauma. This a mother giving up their child… no matter what the situation there is heartbreak involved. Just because you hold them at one day old does not mean there won’t be trauma. DO SOME RESEARCH PEOPLE!!! They think this is going to be all flowers rainbows and butterflies?! They are in for a ride.

I get so frustrated when I hear people like this asking for people to reach out to them if they know someone who wants to “give up” a baby. I would LOVE to adopt to give my son a sibling but don’t have the funds because we have spent our life savings on fertility treatments. They don’t even realize how out of touch with reality they are…

I didn't even know my dad was adopted until I was 6, and I finally met my dad's bio mom for the first time when I was about 12. She gave up my dad shortly after he was born because she was 17, heavy into alcohol and drugs and the sperm donor was a piece of crap who didn't want to help. She thought she would be giving my dad a better chance at life if she gave him to someone else. My grandma who adopted my father is my Nana, I love her to death and I couldn't imagine my life without her. I still occasionally talk to my bio grandma but my dad has never said a word to her. He doesn't even want to acknowledge her existence. My Nana is his mom and that is that. They don't understand how anyone could ever willingly give up their child but I empathize with her because if you are in a horrible situation and know you can't give the child the life they deserve right away; if ever; have someone else care for them if you have that option until you get to the place you can or let someone else who deserves a child and can give them what you never can adopt them. There's two sides to adoption and it is never easy for anyone. It's expensive and I wish the system was better for everyone who actually DESERVES IT.

The people are looking at adoption with rose colored glasses. I'm an adoptive mom of two and it is hard. There will be very hard days in thier future. Also, adoption is never about the parents it is ALWAYS, ALWAYS about the child and birth mom. I hope they don't cut the birth mom out if this babies life. What a smack in the face that would be to her.

I completely agree with you on this one, I'm currently having tests for infertility issues and would never dream of putting a video like this online. I'm only 15 minutes in and can't watch anymore

I get being excited to officially make the decion to adopt, and being excited to offer a baby a home, but the way they are talking.... they aren't even kind of taking into consideration the story of how that baby is going to end up in their home. I can't even fathom the heartbreak for everyone involved on the other side.

The whole video I kept seeing her as the guy from Curious George. They seem to not realize that babies grow up. They talk like they’re trying to convince themselves of everything they say.

I can’t even watch the whole thing. I am a foster mom with adoptive siblings. I sometimes saw people like this is foster classes and it concerned me so much. They are in LaLa land.

SO CRINGE. My husband and I (31 and 39) have been together for 12 years, and we will be married for 7 this May. We DO NOT act like college roommates that high five😬😳🤔Never have! Their banter is very bizarre and disconnected. I also think that perhaps the brutal experience of their infertility journey has created that disconnect and lack of interest/intimacy that tends to happen with every couple going through that. They can try, but they seem very distant and acting more like roommates☠️
